Agree! My ex-wife's parents are Nigerian. I am sick of so many media narratives in the us obsessing over how light and dark people are, whether their ancestors are from Europe, Africa, both, or somewhere else. One planet, one species! The biggest barrier between humans is language. This is why I would love to have the opportunity to live in and experience life in Nairobi, Kenya for at least 1 year.

I get your point. But I did want to say that some straight people do “try it” and decide that they are in fact straight. So that’s a thing, just in case you were wondering.
I also would like to have some open dialogue here and not offend you.
I don’t think the issue with a lot of straight people is that they have no understanding of your lifestyle. They fundamentally disagree with it, which is okay too. And, There’s a difference between disagreeing with something and hating it.
It’s usually all love. People just get caught up in the semantics and emotions of it all.
I thought most people choose to be gay because they had someone early on appeal sexually to them of the same sex. If kids aren’t made aware they naturally go with the opposite sex then anything and anyone can convince them otherwise. Studies show that sex shouldn’t be introduced too early. For kids they don’t know the difference between liking someone friendly vs. romantically. Somebody taught them. Who taught you? Where did you first see sex appeal and with what gender? The point is I know liking who you like doesn’t just happen. I think even with this man he chose black women because he probably likes skin contrast and maybe different features than his own. It doesn’t really explain why a gay person likes someone who looks exactly like themselves or has the same gender.
I really didn’t like his explanation of dating black women being reduced to sex. There’s so much to appreciate about black women. Our resilience, nurturing, loyalty, beauty, etc. I wish Cam would have called him out on that.
But when asking someone when they STARTED being attracted to a certain sex/race 9/10 you were young when realizing what you’re attracted to. And MOST kids/teens aren’t thinking about the other qualities of said race/sex. So given the question he was asked his answer was fine to me. If Cam would’ve followed up with, “ So NOW what makes you attracted to black woman? “ and maybe he would’ve elaborated more 🤷🏾♂️
