  • quick review of settings in DX9 for 470L with Ikon2 FBL. This is how I set this set-up for BASIC flying, learning the heli...hover flights...basic patterns and at most basic inverted 3D.

      Thank you. It was a struggle getting to this level of the hobby and I hope my content helps others. My best advice to you is work your way up in size…each level will teach and challenge you…if you want to advance faster, a simulator is the ticket…they each have their ups and downs😂…get one that’s readily available and go to town. If your meticulous with your maintenance and willing to work at it…it can be a great hobby. Thanks for checking out the channel!

    Very nice flight! Well Done going through your TX Settings and near the end going through your Expo Settings. The 470 is a great Heli.

    Would you reckoned this heli for a beginner just hovering and circuits. I wasn't something a decent size like a 500 but that's out of my budget. This 470 seems next best option. What do you think?

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  Před 2 lety

      I’d recommend the 300 to a beginner, I’ve been very happy with it…give it some time and flights…down the road do a 470 full build. Put time in on a sim, crush it with the 300…then move up. Thanks for tuning in!

    Quick question is the ikon2 better than the 7210beastX, a lot of heli pilots using the ikon fbl unit

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  Před 3 lety

      What sets the Ikon apart for me is the ease of programming and a few other things. They break the programming into simple to follow “basic” programming where you follow the numbers and there’s directions at each step…you enter you’re blade size and things are set-up for you, you can go into the “advanced” manu later and tune if you chose. The cord for the unit is a standard android based phone, no need to order something special and simple to replace. Easy automated update process. No real registration so the units can be edited with any computer with the software on it. In my opinion…definitely, significant easier to program and more user friendly. Thanks for tuning in!

    • @Raptor306090
      @Raptor306090 Před rokem

      No difference except for setup. BeastX is a simple setup vs Ikon2 having to use a PC.

  • @KnightsGarage
    @KnightsGarage Před 2 lety

    So the ikon2 has self leveling? Does the beast-x that’s comes in the super combo kit have self leveling?

    • @rcflightz2058
      @rcflightz2058  Před 2 lety

      It costs extra…cause everything has to be a pain with that unit. Registering, single computer editing, special cord, confusing set-up…go Ikon 2 and save yourself the hassle :)

    • @KnightsGarage
      @KnightsGarage Před 2 lety

      @@rcflightz2058 so the ikon comes with it out the box? I was going to either go ikon 2 or go with spectrum To have the safe mode, panic and telemetry. Plus for programming through my NX8 would be a plus.

      Personally I worked my way up in size, micro/180/300/400/500/550/650, each size has new parts/features, I’d go for the OMP M2 at this point if I was you. It’s next level to the 123 and won’t break the bank when you overdue it. I would consider some sim action as well, can be nice to push your skills and then just hit the reset button.
