Hi my name is Lilly and I am an American expat living on the island of Koh Samui in the gulf of Thailand for the last 9 years. My husband is Thai and his name is Wat. We have two boys named Luke and Leon and a new baby girl named Lyla. Nam is our Nanny and she is like family to us. She is from Myanmar and has worked for us for over 7 years.

I lived in Italy for almost 5 years. Rome definitely is not the most beautiful. Although it is a pretty city. There are much more beautiful places. Alberobello for one. I lived in Puglia. And actually you can eat much better and for cheaper and smaller unknown cities. Also you can go to homes to eat the local produce and foods. A lot of homes down south in Italy will do meals at their homes like a restaurant.
Also, Catholicism makes up the most of the population in Italy. I seen a few people in here being offended about how she stated about Christianity. Christianity is a broad term used for those that believe in Christ which Catholic churches do believe in Christ. However the Bible does not teach marianism which is the prayer and worship of the mother of Christ. That is something that the Catholic Church created itself. And no Catholics were not the first Christians. However, they are mentioned in the bible as Jesuits. Actually the first creation of Catholicism was done by Constantine where he wanted to bring in Christianity and paganism so he created Catholicism. And before you come out you me you better check your history. Check out the History of Constantine. Every one of the facts that talks about how the Catholic Church came about comes from Catholic claimings.

What a beautiful place. I wished with all my heart I would have went to Rome when I was younger, (I’m 76 now) and not in good health. My Husband is Italian, and when he was younger and in the the Army, he looked like Elvis Presley, so, I know why you think Italian men are handsome. Chloe is hilarious, and Gigi is just gorgeous. Lily you must go to south of Italy to Sorrento. It is absolutely beautiful. From there you can take the boat to Capri, amalfi and positano. The beach cities of Italy are absolutely breathtaking.

Catholics are Christians too, Lilly. They were the first Christians. So asking a person if they are Catholic OR Christian is an ignorant, insensitive and insulting question. Think before you speak please, especially when you are traveling in a country where the majority of the population are Catholic. It is generally a good rule of thumb to avoid controversial subjects, like religion or politics, with complete strangers.

Catholic and christian religion is completely different. One idolizes statues and serves a pope and priests who thinks is holy while the other believes in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . It is your choice to bring it up in conversations with others as both people can agree to disagree as adults. You are ignorant if you can't be open minded and if you can't respect others beliefs.

My son was diagnosed with cancer when he was nine, he is 24 now. God saved him…. My family spent a lot years not going anywhere because of fear…. I wish I could just pick up and go to another country and see new things and have new experiences…but I don’t want to be that far from son…. Y’all are having such a good time. I’ve been to Italy twice & we enjoyed seeing the sites. If you are adventurous you can rent a segway in the Borghese Gardens, we did that & it was alot of fun. We have plans to visit Tuscany & Puglia region next year. La vita e bella !

Florida and the Florida Keys, we have some of the best outdoor dining restaurants and cafes, often with a tropical vibe, and many with a relaxed cosmopolitan flair (e.g. Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, and Miami Beach are renowned for their variety of cuisines and great restaurants. However, you'll have to ask long-time locals to find the very best.) Luke is such a sweetheart! What a great trip for him!😘
Rome would be a perfect place to have a caftan boutique like you have in Idaho. Just some small out of the way shop. With all those tourists, you'd make a killing.
