Hey there! I'm a recent grad from Georgia Tech. I just wanted to say that although there are many students with similar credentials, there is very much a well-rounded student body. I personally was straight A's going in, but my high school didn't offer any APs and I didn't have crazy extra curriculars. Just try and stand out in your own way and you'll be fine.

@AvengeZealot Unfortunately it's hard to say whether or not it's enough for comp sci, especially since its soooo oversaturated with applicants. I had a 1380 or something to get into the Computer Engineering program. But let's just say that having nothing but the top performing students in a school does not make for a well-rounded student body. If you're a great fit for the school, they'll take you. Regardless of whether or not you were the perfect student in high school.
Side note: I was also out-of-state so the odds were definitely stacked against me. I believe it helps if you were valedictorian or close to it. I applied as my school's valedictorian.

The more I see these videos the more feel like my chances of getting in to Georgia tech are slim

in all honesty it depends on how you do with the opportunities provided at your school. if the school's averages are particularly low, including your grades, yet you score well on ap exams or the sat, and write about that in your college essay, they can put two and two together and see you could do well in their environment

Congrats! Don't know if i'll be able to reach this level, but ill def try my best and I was also wondering if the number of APs you take senior year matters since you won't have grades for them come application time. would just taking a lot of APs senior year mean anything?

i wouldnt say it means nothing, they still take your senior schedule into account

What other schools did you get into? Can you do a video about the essays you wrote?

Taking AB and then BC feels painful. I took algebra 2 + pre cal at 10, BC at 11, then multi at 12, so it feels not repetitive.

Since you are in Michigan and your credential is excellent, I am pretty sure you can get into Univ. of Michigan too, right? I know GT is slightly better than UM in CS and Engineering. But the margin is not large and in UM you can enjoy in-state tuition. I am curious why you pick GT over UM?

Hey, I was wondering how you became the social media director of Connect Me and if can I also apply to these types of positions in this organization. Can I also get your email for further questions about the admissions process and what to do throughout my high school years? I'm a freshman btw.
