    Thank you for putting this up! I was trying to figure out which walking foot would work with my 801 when I found your video.

    I have the first one shown here (the thicker pin one) and it fits my 530-2 Record Bernina from 1959. It copes with all the available stitch widths on the 530.
    I've been using it to sew decorative stitches on the seams of my re-usable supermarket shopping bags. Lots of creative fun! 👍😁

    I have the Bernina 830 machine purchased in 1979. I have the walking foot from the 80s (still NEW). It has the same numbers on the jewel case and box you shared.

    Will a BW-2/P60445 walking foot fit my Bernina 1080 machine?

    Do these fit on the artista? I am finding the needle hits the foot where it should be able to go into the fabric. And how do the artistas fit into the Bernina numbering system?

    Hi, I have an original thin pinned 5.5mm wide walking foot with the Bernina badge on the side, I bought it for my Bernina 910 back in the 80's, it came in the lidded case as you show but mine doesn't have the extra label. The lidded box is just the same as the 'earliest one' you showed, just the red Bernina brand name but no extra labelling at all. So the thin pinned one were obviously sold in the earlier lidded cases too. Unfortunately I no longer have the box.

    Hi Jeremy. Can you tell me which walking foot exactly I would need for a Bernina 1005? Thank you

    Do you know of a source for a longer needle pin?

    I just got a used walking foot. It is the old style with the darker logo, with thin pins, not thick ones. It didn't come in the KL jewel box but instead the jewel box without that additional label. I haven't tried it on my 830 record because its in the shop but I'm assuming, based on this video, that it should work without a problem- just thought it was interesting!

      Yes Ben it should work fine. If your 830 has the shorter needle clamp (like mine) you might find putting on the walking foot a little fussy. I have to remove the needle and needle clamp screw in order to get the walking foot on. Minor inconvenience but again the foot you have should work no problem.

      Hi, thanks for the video, I have # 006 330 70 00 on the box. I just bought this but it’s the older feet not old old feet. So assume this will fit 1000 down. Will try and let you know as I have 730 and 831 to try against. Thanks again!

    Thank you. Good info. I have a Nova 900 so assume I need the thick pin. Am I correct?

      @nickrobinson9629 Před 4 měsíci

      Fortunately the thin pin is backwards compatible. So either option would work on your 900.

    I am hoping that you can help me. I have a 1080 Special model machine. I bought a walking foot that has two sole plates. The label on the bottom says “Reorder # 0089687000. It also says 1630 and down. 1630 and older. Do I have the correct foot? I have had this machine for years and I am finally am to learn to use it. I hope you can help answer this for me. In your video believe you also said it has a 9mm feed dogs. Is this on the machine? My manual does not tell me any details about the machine. My plate has guided which do not show me any measurements.
    Do you have any suggestions on where I can find videos to learn about my older machine? There are so many newer models on the market now. I appreciate any advice you can share

    I have the same foot with the same number 33419203 , jewel case and the box number is different. Do you know if it fits the Artista 180? I inherited the machine but cannot figure out how to attach it? I don't know why my aunt would have had it if it doesn't fit. She bought everything new.

    • @nickrobinson9629
      @nickrobinson9629 Před 4 měsíci

      Your aunt may have had an older machine at some earlier stage but held onto the foot. I don't think that foot would attach to a 180.

    Hi, I bought a Bernina 940 in 1983. And I bought too a walking foot. On the box of it, 940 is written. At that time, 3 different walking feet were sold : 001 770 7000 for Bernina 1130, 001 770 7001 for Bernina 930 and 001770 7002 for Bernina 940. The seller told me that it was very important to buy the foot according to the machine. So I bought the one for my Bernina 940.
    3 months ago, I bought a Bernina 930. I tried the old walking foot for 940 and it s okay with the 930. Can you tell me if there is a difference between the 3 old feet ? And can you tell me if the new Bernina walking foot is better than the old ones.
    Forgive my english, I am french. Mary
