Originally my plan was to buy actual Lego modulars, but there’s no way I could afford those prices. $650 for Brick Bank or $60 for the knockoff, easy decision
LEGO does not have a patent on the basic LEGO block anymore, but they still have copyright rights on the design of the set. So third party companies creating compatible bricks is okay, but copying the design of a LEGO set is not okay.

When my son was younger (5-7) he was obsessed with Legos & superheros, i remember i ordered Chinese knockoffs w/ hulk, spidey, etc for like 20 & sht ton of legos - hell toys R us had a mini hulk lego set for like 45$ - knockoffs looked exactly the same

LEGO is a collective noun, or an adjective. It is not a singular noun, so it does not have a plural. The plural of LEGO brick is LEGO bricks. NOT LEGOS!!!!!!!
I’ll definitely have to look into this! When I was a kid, my uncle bought me and my three siblings each dope Lego sets and I specifically got this Café corner. I wish I still had it and I have not purchased any Legos as an adult because they’re so damn expensive.
Look up general Jim's building blocks I ordered a large one called the madhouse insane asylum it is made by panlos the quality of the bricks and the clutching power is amazing and so far it's been awesome building the set other than you have multiple large bags instead of how Lego does it broke up for you. We bricks are also very good quality
I bought the bootleg Ghostbusters Firehouse from AliExpress I haven't started building it yet I have to admit the sheer number of bags is a bit intimidating
I tend to buy sets lego still makes from them direct and they any retired sets I get from aliexpress because I jusr can't justify the crazy mark up on used retired sets
The 2x4 bricks and few others look incredible cheap... and colors seem to be off aswell.... a really bad fake to be honest.... there are way better knockoffs out there....

Looks cheap it’s cheap will last a few weeks , Lego is a different animal feels different and a quality product which is why it holds it value and in many cases triples it. The reason why people like Lego is because it’s built to last
