No it doesn't, the core always jumps out of the cogs. I spent 3 hours going through every possible set up and it doesn't work reliably for a length of wire. Waste of money.@@winstonmontag8824

For good reason. Don't get me wrong it's really good on bigger cores but it doesn't work at all on smaller cores. I'd say it does 6mm and up.@@alexgomez-rc5nt
