- Hello everyone! Today we will be looking at the livestock in Harvest Moon 64 - The cows, the sheep, the dog, the horse, and the chickens. I will teach you how to avoid seeing this animal death scene.
There are three classes of animals in Harvest Moon 64: pets, livestock, and wild animals. Pets and infant livestock can't get sick, hurt, and are basically immune to everything. Following this guide will teach you how to win the cow festival and get GOLD MILK. - Hry

Also with the horse Eli since there's no cutoff at night time. You can ride your horse around at night to max out his stamina for the races

The weirdest HM64 glitch is getting cows to produce large milk from day one. It needs to make small milk, then be sick and then cured with the medicine, and then voilà - large milk.
I think I actuality found that glitch myself when I was playint as a kid. I think it also works on sheeps to get good wool.
I had never heard about the cow glitch before!
There are so many glitches and bugs in this game it’s ridiculous, haha. I kind of think that they give the game an air of mystery though, haha. HM64 would probably be a lot different if it were made in the modern era. I doubt we would be able to get Karen to max affection in one day anymore haha.
@@elithegaymer I think it would be a great nod to the history if they at least made her get double affection points for showing the dog in a remake

You can repeatedly show your dog to Karen to max out relationship with her. It's probably the easiest way to keep her from leaving

Can someone explain why my animals keep getting sick? They’re outside I talk to them brush them. They eat grass. Put them inside once it’s about to rain. Why????
Okay, but does the dog have to be OUTSIDE to get the +1 affection point for the food? Or can you keep it inside and the game only tracks whether food was put in the bowl or not?
Yeah, being outside does NOT affect affection level for your dog. So most people just keep their dog inside since it’s easier to find him that way. Time is precious and you don’t wanna waste any outside time on him.
And he eats the food from the bowl outside even when inside.
