Bystander CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) can double someone’s chance of survival if they suffer sudden cardiac arrest.
The PulsePoint app helps connect people who have CPR training with people who urgently need help in an emergency. If you’re within 400 metres of someone who’s in cardiac arrest in a public place, PulsePoint will send you a notification. PulsePoint alerts are triggered by emergency medical call takers and help bystanders step in and provide CPR until paramedics arrive.
