Not sure if your camera will have it, but at least on my Zf there is a menu option under the wrench; Auto-rotate info. I actually turned it off because I'm used to like, OM cameras and the F3 that obvious cant rotate that stuff, but it work on both the evf and back screen.

I've seen it's available in the ZF and Z8/Z9 now, so perhaps there'll be an update on the future. Thank you for commenting.

I wish Fuji had recipe bracketing lol. I have used Nikon (Df) but not mirror less. Interesting how different options appear on some camera brands and not others. Nice comparison ✌

Thank you very much. Yes, it's funny how things can be so different between brands.

Nice video. I recently switched from a full Fuji kit with X-T5 to Nikon z7ii and z6. I was not happy with the IQ of the fuji files and the 40MP sensor. My goal was to simplify my photography and I was needing to run my Fuji files through multiple softwares to get the best rendering of the RAW files. I know many people would dispute this …but they are not me! And I was not happy with the files nor the processing of the files. Enter the z7ii …I love the Nikon files. I am back to Lightroom only with occasional photoshop and no need for other software tools. I shot my first ten years with Nikon DSLRs, then to Fuji for ten years with the XT lineup from 1 to 5. A couple things I notice that i need to get used to: 1)Back button focus is better on the Nikon for me, 2)Nikon will not auto-bracket like Fuji (pick bracketing mode on the XT and it will cycle through the brackets with only one shutter press), Nikon requires you to hold the shutter button until it is done shooting which can lead to camera shake so I will have to use a remote release when bracketing at slower shutters speeds, 3)I liked the aperture ring on Fuji lenses with the satisfying click at each aperture …I set my Nikon 24-120 to allow aperture changes with this ring, but it does not have the clicks to hold it in place. I found I was changing apertures every time I grabbed the camera so I had to turn that option off. 4) Nikon does not hold settings when in U1/2/3 and you turn the camera off/on like the Fuji. I set up custom profiles (U1/U2/U3) and I like those, but if I am in U1 for landscapes and I change settings and turn the camera off …those settings revert to the saved settings for U1. I wish there was a delay …like camera off more than 30 minutes and it will reset. Fuji held your settings, which was nice when working in the same lighting …for example: turn the camera off to hike from one view to another. With Nikon I have to leave the camera on. I will learn and I am very happy with the change. I don’t have regrets. I knew I would need to change habits after ten years with Fuji. Last comment is my new kit is not heavier than my Fuji kit. If anything it may be lighter as I have less lenses. The camera is not larger by any significant means either. I set them side-by-side and the Nikon is the same size as my Fuji in practical use. I kind of miss my smaller Fuji hand grip …but will be fine without out. Sorry for the long comment, but learning a lot as I make this change.

Thank you very much. A very interesting and great read. I feel the same about a lot of this, and the size in particular is something that many seem to really not understand, as there really is not that much difference in size between cameras! Again, thank you.

My question would be is how much will these differences effect your process? Do you still use your Fujifilm and the NIkon for simple "day to day life". I shoot with a Z6ii and find the kit lens excellent and with adaptors use my old lens. Interested to know.

Just watched your older video where you get into your rationale for switching which cleared up some of my questions !

Thank you. More annoyances when you first get the camera then anything else. Very much second nature to me now.

You just don't know the Nikon!

As a Nikon user all my life, coming to the Z6II was very different! I know the Z8/9 have some of these features I mentioned. As I say, it's all second nature now though 👌
