The second season cannot come soon enough. I just found this show on Netflix & marathon watched the whole season in like 3 days. Excellent show, great cast, amazing writing, fantastic characters. As a Science Fiction lover, there just aren't that many quality shows on TV that even come close to this. They all seem to get cancelled way before they should. Even though we may not be the fan base the size of of cop/detective shows & dramas, there are a lot of us out here that crave these kinds of shows.

Joseph Mallozzi Love Dark Matter! It's the real space sci-fi I've been waiting for for a long time! Everyone else is doing sequels or spin-offs. And this show is very original! It captured me in the story universe the same way SG1/SGA did! The more I watch, I can't stop! Awesome show!

I really like this show, and dare I say it, I absolutely love how diverse the cast is. I'm ambivalent towards there not being a main antagonist, on the one hand single main antagonists are kind of a staple of the genre and help focus shows, on the other hand it's fresh that there isn't a single, cackling villain pouring all the resources of a galactic empire into his obsession with the heroes, it makes the setting feel larger and more realistic.

#4 was soooo funny. He wanted to be the mole so badly. HAHAHA
To be fair, he and #1 are the only other two that would have made sense as the mole. #1 no, and #3 no. But #6 made the most sense, with #1 being next, and #4 being a close 3rd. #1 doesn't make sense because the reveal near the end is that she was created illegally, and the reason was revealed. They are searching for immortality and she was just another experiment in that quest. The GA would destroy her if they figured out what she is. Though, with her now in their control, will they figure out what she is? And if so, will they decide that she is a valuable asset that they can exploit? Maybe with a destruct capsule implanted in her brain? Things that make you say, "Hmmmmm?"

How many put together the fact that he insisted on being the one to go into the girl's dreams...dreams that were the rest of the crew's memories? Now you understand why he did that. Remember, he really insisted on being the one who went in. Why would he do that? Because somebody else might stumble upon his secret. He couldn't risk that.
Put that together with the fact that he was also the most protective of the young girl...even more so than #1 or #2.
What we don't know is how he came to be part of the Galactic Authority. Was he always a member? Was he part of them, and undercover when his shuttle was used to blow up a station? Or, was that the incident that caused him to become an agent for the GA? I want to believe it was the latter. Remember, he executed those 3 men in the hangar after he found out about the bomb on the shuttle. That is not what an agent would do. He would have reported to his handlers, who would have worked with him to facilitate and arrest. After all, those men had knowledge that they could use to bring down the bigger operation.
I think he was the person that #2 and one of the other crew members were talking about killing before reaching the mining colony. I think they found out he was a mole.
The real question is, how did he defeat the android's lie detector test? OK, so it was alluded to that the young girl created the code, but did she really? And if she did not, was it part of the code to simply eliminate his knowledge of the code? That doesn't make sense because I don't think they would have anticipated the android acting as a lie detector. So it would make more sense that the girl did it. But if she did, then the mole's memory would have also been erased. But if it was, then how would he know he is a mole? Did entering the memories trigger his memory? Remember, the girl said that time was different in the dreams. She had been in them for months, maybe even years. It was just several months as the boy on the farm. This means that the mole could have explored many of his memories, until he learned that he in fact was a mole, and why he had become one. But then, that doesn't make sense because the mole was causing problems before that point, right? Or no? I mean we assumed at first that he had sabotaged the ship, but was it really sabotage? Or, was it sabotage that he did before having his memory wiped clean?
OK, so my best guess is that the girl created the code because she overheard the conversation to kill somebody. This was her way of trying to stop that, though she probably didn't intend for the memory wipe to happen to her, which is why she ended up with all of the other people's memories. Crude code meant to preserve her memories actually wiped it but then downloaded all of the memories into her head.
Next, I think the mole became an agent after the station was blown up. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, and this caused him to no longer believe in the cause. So he turned. He had performed the sabotage before they went into stasis. Then his memory was wiped. This did not alter who he is, just as it didn't completely alter anybody else. He was very protective of the girl, and THAT is the reason he insisted on being the one to enter her dreams. While in her dreams, the first one he encounters is his memory. Makes sense as it is a very powerful memory for him also. Seeing this memory makes him want to learn more about himself. So he starts going from memory to memory, and learns that he is the mole, and why he chose to be one. He now remembers that he must complete his mission, and this is why he goes into action shortly after coming out of her memories. It would take some time to coordinate with the GA, and make a plan. Also, since his drug was administered through an injection on his arm, we must assume that it was different than what the others were exposed to. His was designed for him to administer it, but give him time to get rid of the injector. Then, it was also designed to be very temporary. Same drug effect, but different in that it would wear off very quickly, allowing him to come to and complete his mission.
    Just my thoughts.
Can't wait to see what happens in season 2. So many things could happen. Maybe the GA goes overboard in how they treat the young girl, causing him to again rethink his loyalties. Maybe he also sees that the crew IS different after having their memories wiped, and he also sees that #1 is not treated fairly, since he is in fact not the man whose face he wears. But maybe the GA wants to cover that up, and wants to execute him. Same with the prince. He now knows the injustice that he was subjected to. And thinks he deserves to be treated differently. But when he sees the corruption in the GA, he helps them escape?
Or, maybe they are given a new lease on life if they join the GA, and act as agents for them? Would fit well with their new attitudes. They are different. They want to do the right thing for people. So they are told that they will be allowed to do just that. Be undercover operatives, working a a team to take out the bad guys, and interfere with the corrupt corporations when that is needed.
I think that would be the most interesting story line. They would now have the backing they need, but this would also put them in harms way a lot, and they would have to find ways to, in effect, be the mission impossible crew in space. Then there is the push pull effect of having to defeat the corporations, and other bad guys, without anyone realizing that it was them who are doing the defeating. Reputations travel fast, and they would develop a reputation as either traitors/snitches, or at a minimum, a cursed crew that always fails at their job. After a while, word would get out that if they are involved, bad things happen.
Anyway, really looking forward to next season. The chemistry with the crew is fantastic, and all I can say is that O'Neill looks incredible after losing the weight she lost. She was never ugly. She was the type that you would say, "Oh, she has such a pretty face." But now...WOW. She is a certified hotty! She should be an inspiration to so many women who are carrying too much weight. You can lose it and look very beautiful, if you want that bad enough.
