Jeremy irons a true legend He voiced one of the most iconic villains of all time. His voice is just so amazing. I can literally listen to Jeremy talk for hours and I don't get bored at all literally he can teach me that deep English accent That's for sure.

When I watched the film Kingdom of Heaven, during the scene where Tiberias screamed, I realized that his voice was similar to Scars, and at that moment I found out that Jeremy Iron was the voice of Scars..😅

Honestly, I love Wagner Moura as Death in Puss and Boots, but when he says “I love the smell of fear” I always think to Jeremy Irons voice performance as Scar when he says “I quiver with fear” since the guttural growl he adds to the line is so perfect. If Moura did that play Death I think Jeremy Irons would have been a great candidate.
Jeremy probably saw the same Shakespearean parallels that the movie's producers did, which is what pushed him to take the role. Also, I heard for years that David Bowie was also on the list for the part, but he was tied up with making his newest album at the time. (2/8/2024)
As much as I love Tim Curry, I can't see him voicing Scar. I would've been expecting to hear Frank-N-Furter's voice.
Actually Alan Rickman was offered the role of scar too but he turned it down too !! Alan Rickman Has very similar voice to Jeremy Irons !!
