Straight up the best photos were Mikes flip phone ones and its not even close. All talent and skill, no dependence on gear. I really thought the 'a bad builder blames his tools' was a bit sillly and unfair but I have just been proven wrong. Bravo dude.
I really like the flip phone photos I thought they were the best. It had that 90s alt vintage feel to it.

These 5Mb photos turned out the best of all. They have an atmosphere even though they are not sterile and very clear. In the pursuit of resolution and quality of photos, we do not remember that the photos should have an atmosphere and tell something - they should be different from the others.
The chemistry between these two is hilarious! Should definitely do more videos together, I laughed the entire way through!

Made me think of a potential video idea, something like building up a budget challenge where you go to different locations starting with a very cheap (maybe even the flip phone) camera and have a picture reference you have to match and the one closest to it gets “money” in the bank to spend to level up to a better set up within a certain time frame
then with a difference time limit, with the set up you could build up, a photo battle goes on with being uploaded and voted on by the community

Surprisingly enough, the phone photos were the coolest ones. Looks like they were shot on an old Fomapan B&W film roll.
It's with such this kind of weak gear (and also with the old Nikon) that the photographer shines with skill over equipment.
