Thank you for this video. Great race! I wish we could watch more of European trials here.
Let's rock the show, Keely!!! Congrats!!!
Congrats to the second and third places, and to everyone who ran and tried.
Thanks much for the spoiler in the title!
that race was like 3 weeks ago...
@@whirlywhirly5758 And it was still a spoiler in the title. Obviously not everyone has seen these races, as there is more than one comment about the title spoiling the race result.
now say it without crying...🤦♂
@@jorcial It without crying...did that help settle your tummy? Or does mommy have to get you something?

Amazing Athletes!!!
Lovely lovely lovely... go Keely 😀❤ Don't worry about 'a thing' in Paris, go for gold!!
Keely was ill before and during the race. So she did well to win despite not being 100%.
Ooo love a bit of athletics gossip
It's a shame we won't get to see Keely race Athing Mu in Paris.
why tho?
@@chaelstp5674 Mu fell in the 800m final of the US olympic trials and did not make the team for Paris.
Yeah. I think that whole process kind of stinks. I mean... if you're one of the top runners in the world... defending title holder... defending bronze / silver / gold medalist... and you get tripped or fall in a qualifying heat like that... you should get a pass or a 2nd chance or something. What if it was intentional? Tonya Harding style. Should Michael Jordan have to "qualify" for the Olympic team?
Mu was not in same form as last Olympics, would have been no certainty to make Paris final.
Agree, but Mu isn't the same runner from three years ago. She would have been lucky to make it out of the trials, had she stayed on her feet.
Jesus, that Keely is pleasant on the eyes, while ripping-up the track!
A skinny white Brit?? Easy beat
she has 800 meters of forehead

Absolutely not the reason we watch women's sport 🤣
@@ironmantooltime Impress us. Which definition of 'we' are you claiming to be using?
1. used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself and one or more other people considered together.
2. used in formal contexts for or by a royal person, or by a writer or editor, to refer to himself or herself.

Good race. Strong finish.
Well done Keely, good luck in the Olympics.
Love the title that tells me the result!
????????????
Who did you think was going to win anyways????…lol…
@@kenisme1000 Not the point. The point is that you want to watch the race not knowing who won so you can be as excited as if you saw it live.
@@marcd1981so record it next time or watch it elsewhere. 🤷🏻♂️ it’s weeks old and the results have been known for a while. It’s a recap video…
@@awdobsession717 I'm sure you've heard the reason to not ASSume anything? If I owned a television and watched these events live, that would work. I have not owned a television for more than 12 years, and when I start catching up on events, I watch CZcams. This isn't the only channel that posts results in the title, and many major channels post the results the day of or the day after the event.
Love the intro where the run out like race cars.

And now 17yr old Phenom Phoebe Gill has now well & truly emerged in the W800m @British Trials; GB's M&W's mid distance depth is very impressive!
Almost like late 70s 80s British dominance. Cool.
Keely has big changes to be the gold medal in Paris
Some heart felt gladsomness not to mention a fulsomness as well.. in today's perky 'nnouncin..
Gajanova almost caught her.
If young Phoebe can handle all that goes with being an Olympian do not be surprised to see her making the finals and doing well.
Phoebe is frighteningly talented and very very strong down the finishing straight for such a young woman. I can see her as a future World Record Holder as well as winning many titles, if she dedicates to athletics.
It’s unfortunate Athing Mu won’t be competing. But she wouldn’t have beaten Keely. Her recent health struggles probably would’ve put her chances of even making the finals in the Olympics questionable. Let alone a podium spot.

My god, these women are unbelievably gorgeous!
What happens when ladies take care of their bodies and in shape.
@@ambientsounds5832 It's certainly more than that! Genetics plays a big part. Not many women are put together the way these gals are.
Fast moving eye candy !
That's an understatement. Stunning!!
Wow!
Where was Jemma Reekie?
She ran the 1500 metres, and was leading in the final lap but faded badly in the final 60 metres to finish 5th.
That winning time would have been good for fourth in the US Olympic trials just completed.
Well she ran a 1:55 the other day and that would have smashed everyone and she was sick when she ran this time
Keely was sick in this race and up until the last minute had not decide to run. Every other 800 metres this year she has won comfortably running away and see beat Mary Moraa in Eugene in a 1:55 running away from the field in the final straight.
As for times, then the UK also has Phoebe Gill in the Olympics as well who, this year, aged 17 years and 3 weeks ran a 1:57.86, just half a second behind the time of Nia Akins in the US trials. Keep an eye on her, as she is very strong and simply ran away from Jemma Reekie (4th at the last Olympics).
Keeley needs to watch out for teenage sensation Phoebe Gill!
The PARIS OLYMPICS should be a (barn burner)Ms. Keely Hodgkins and Ms. Athing Mu are not the ONLY 800 meter runners on (PLANET EARTH) my GOD .....There are the (MORAA SISTERS) the older one (Mary)won the last world championships last year in Budapest ,Hungary with (Keely) getting silver and (Ms. Mu )getting bronze.
True, but Mary Moraa was comprehensively beaten by Keely Hodgkinson in Eugene this year. Incidentally, watch out for Phoebe Gill, who aged just 17 years and 3 weeks, ran a 1:57.86 in May 2024, almost 2 seconds inside the European U-18 record. Since then she has won the UK National 800m in a 1:58, outpacing Jemma Reekie, the 4th placed runner in the Tokyo Olympics (Keely was in the 400m). A bit of a wild card given her youth, but at that age improvements can come on in leaps and bounds. She's also an excellent 1500 metre runner and has a lot of strength.
Keely was ill here.
Sebastian british Coe
Athing should move to 400m
Як👍🦵
hodg kissin not a gimme gold in paris
Why tell us who won?
¿"Roma 2024"? What a lie!
Still in first gear she ran faster going to the start of the race
What a terrible angle at the cut-in by the entire field!
The giant numbers may allow for good product advertisements, but they look terrible.
White girl magic! 👏🏻
Keely would have run faster if she needed to,,,
Too bad Mu wasn't that smart.
Always make someone pass u on the outside, inexperienced runner from France, let her pass on inside not smart.
Hardly anybody there - corrupt athletics is finished
So which pharma lab won this week ?
Mu would easily take Keely
Keely would have beat her no doubt!
@billydaniel7661 I am ex track and field athlete and competed for australia. Except for the greats up to 80s I always found Brits weak under pressure and self doubt
@billydaniel7661 British athletes are full of self doubt never easy to bet on because they fold in this new era post 2012 Olympics London..exit mo Jessica and the ginger long jumper
Nope....Keely faster this year than MU several times. Mu not in Olympics anyhow.
@@TimMarshall-er9qk big difference between fast times and tactically smarter runners at 800/1500
I think she ought to be warned about displaying that flag, it could be a danger disrupting the Javlin and Pole Vault event if she is noticed out of the corner of a contender’s eyesight.
The 'French' got trounced.
It seems a lot of women this year in the trails are having menstrual cramps.timing is everything.
We need the rusian beauty.
That female commentator voice is so annoying
It's Katherine Merry isn't it?
