Led by their primarchs, the Word Bearers and World Eaters Legions ravage the realm of Ultramar
The Shadow Crusade has begun. While the Ultramarines reel from Kor Phaeron’s surprise attack on Calth, Lorgar and the rest of the Word Bearers strike deep into Ultramar. Their unlikely allies, Angron and the World Eaters, continue to ravage each new system they come across - upon the garrison planet of Armatura, this relentless savagery may finally prove to be their undoing. Worlds will burn, Legions will clash and a primarch will fall.

There's a sort of popular quote by the director of Dark Souls describing how he wanted each enemy in the game to elicit this sense that you're not fighting them at their peak, you're fighting them after they've plummeted from grace. Between Angron shoulder-pressing a Titan and Kharn talking to Argel Tal about how broken of a primarch he is, it's so interesting to think about what he could've been if he was just given the chance to be himself

So the thing about Angron’s voice.
He doesn’t have a deep voice, like the other Primarchs. His sinuses are either constantly blocked or so scarred up that they’re just useless. The more the nails take, the more he ends up being a mouth breather. He’s not meant to sound high and reedy, but he’s got a very nasally voice because his brains are leaking out through his nostrils.

Unrelated 40k Theory: The mystery behind Krieg's birthing process the Vitae Womb is largely a "cloning" sort of tech. And as a Patriarch is to his Space Marines, Colonel Jurten is to the Death Korps. Where as other similar processes on other planets use different genetics for its created people, Krieg's people are all the offspring of Jurten. This is because after the betrayal against him by his senior officers and he decided to literally say, "Fine, I'll do it myself." Also if I remember correctly every time, in official cannon, they describe the features of a Krieg soldier without it's gasmask on, they have the same color hair and eyes.

It would amuse me greatly if Kharn met Erebus in the 40k era and in a moment of lucidity remembered what the fucker did, that he escaped last time and that vengeance is overdue and then, as Kharn has Erebus at his mercy, the Dark Gods abandon Erebus at the last minute in an epic "you reap what you sow" moment ten thousand years in the making.

He took one look at the superhuman Demigods that were there to direct his existence and said "Oh hell no!". And then he brought them down. He forged his own path and wasn't daunted by the power of the Primarchs. He manipulated them and got them to destroy each other. There were 3 of these massive warships constructed by Lorgar during the time he was preparing to betray the Emperor, they are absolutely massive and one of them could go up against the Phalanx, they dwarf Glorianna class Warships. The first one appears in the battle for the abyss novel and is destroyed over Macragge, these 2 ships are and absolute threat.

    The Blessed Lady isn’t a Gloriana-class battleship. It’s bigger.
The Dark Mechanicum built 3 special battleships for the Word Bearers that, while smaller than the Phalanx (which is a Ramilles-class Star fort that was retrofitted with engines) were larger than any other Imperial Vessel ever made.
They are later classed “Abyss” class Battleships by the Imperium after the first one named the “Furious Abyss”
The Conqueror *is* a Gloriana-class Battleship.
All Abyss-class battleships were destroyed during the Heresy, there are still a couple Gloriana-class vessels around (Conqueror, Macragge’s Honour, Terminus Est, Vengeful Spirit, and Red Tear are all still active)

As for voices & Magnus I still think the VA who played him in Emperor's text to speech just nailed it with a sarcastic British librarian. I think that someone should record a bit of audio from episode 13 of text to speech for DK to hear his voice. Now, when the ship is finished, they blow up the entire forgeworld that it was built on, not to mention it was stated to have taken several decades to build. I can believe the Empirium might've missed losing 1 world, because, you know, A MILLION WORLDS! And sure, even Mars might've overlooked it. But I very much fucking doubt 3 whole forge worlds blowing the fuck up would’ve gone unnoticed, even if they were smaller ones!

It took decades to build in secret, letting the world it was built on keep up their normal production rates to hide the fact that they were building a non-Emperor-approved super-weapon. After the first one was built up enough to have a blueprint to give to some forge worlds that were loyal to Horus, the Warmaster could have covered for their sudden drop in production while they rushed to complete the other Abyss class ships, then swept their destruction under the rug with the general chaos of the Heresy breaking out.
