I'm not a Unicorns-In-Space kinda guy, but I definitely do see plenty evidence for the vibratory relationship of all things, across the experience of time and space. Even at an atomic level everything is pulsing on off. This is obviously just a partial understanding, akin to metaphor but so are most things on the human explanatory level. Even non-dualism is to some extent, the harmonisation of up and down, good and bad, off and on, life and death etc. It might be a crude and misused word but vibration is as good a word as any to explain how things align and misalign in the apparent unfolding of what is. Humanly speaking of course. What are your thoughts? (or anyones thought's for that matter)☺
I am not sure what you mean by "vibratory relationships", Pip. If you mean that a certain string on a guitar will vibrate when a key of the same tone is struck on a piano, yes. That is a physical fact. But you seem to be talking about something else.
@Robert Saltzman Hi Robert, yeh...the guitar analogy is about right. I think this has a correlate in the way humans interact. Vibration seems to be one of the mechanisms by which we 'apparently' influence each other. A way in which creativity moves from the emptiness to the manifest. I think of Hitler controlling the masses, the heady romance between strangers that defies logic, Benny Hinn getting thousands of folk to check their sanity in at the door, but repelling others like me. Vibration, in part, working through sound and light, in general, specific, complex and ultimately unknowable ways! I don't allude to any of the law of attraction bollocks similar to what is espoused in 'The Secret' and I don't say that we are in ultimate control, or that it is in any way necessary, or expedient to understand this. Yet in my observation, in our humanity, we initiate and respond to all types of vibrations - think of a hypnotist altering our thought patterns, a pretty girl biting her bottom lip and eliciting arousal (at least it used too! 🤣) a guitar solo altering our mood toward transcendence, or perhaps a good writer using creative hyperbole to inspire and provoke. All this feels like it has a vibratory tie in. I don't say any of this to draw conclusions, but this way of looking at life (for me) leads to me letting go of the idea that folk can do no other than what they do, with or without the awareness. This (again for me, and for want of a better word) 'vibrates' within me, and seems to move me towards a more tolerant and robust honesty. An acceptance of 'what is', when dealing with my fellow weird & wonderful, skin-jobs! Long way for a short cut I know, but I hope that made sense Robert. If a pretty girl arouses my interest, Pip, I do not chalk it up to "vibrations," because I don't even know what that word would mean in that context, except if meant poetically as in the Beach Boys "She's giving me good vibrations." If I want to chalk it up to something, it would be DNA selected over fathomless eons of generations stimulating naked apes like me and my fellow present-day human primate animals to respond vigorously to visual and olfactory cues of fitness and readiness to mate.
Consciousness is the domain of the ego. Jesus never spoke from consciousness. Consciousness is for experiencing life, and just that. Not for decision-making of any kind.
