You are an excellent teacher. I appreciate your lessons.
Thank you so much, it means a lot 🧡😊
Very good lessons! I am a Maltese citizen but I like very much Slovak and I study it everyday. Me and my husband usually come to Slovakia every year So we find these lessons very useful .
Thank you so much for such a nice comment :) I am happy to help you learn Slovak! That is very cool, which cities have you already visited? And where are you planing to go next? ♥
@@SlovakGirlTami God Bless

thank you so much for such a nice comment ♥ really appreciate your support :)
Ďakujeme! These lessons have given me the chance to share some familiarity with a Slovakian woman I have been dating for almost 6 months, using these lessons to surprise (and kind of impress) her, its been great so far and I really appreciate the effort you put into doing this, keep it up!
aaaw that is so sweet ♥ I am so happy to hear! Ďakujem :) for such a lovely comment and for the support. I will try my best to keep it up ;)
Ďakujem! I am learning Slovak to visit my my family in Kosice
Nie je za čo! Wish you all tbe best with learning 👍🏻🙂
Thank you, it’s very useful 🙏
You are so welcome! I am so happy to hear that ♥
What a great video! I love how you explain it, rather than just putting phrases out there to memorize. It makes it so much easier to learn.
Also explaining the actual phrase used, versus the literal translation, is a great tool.
GREAT teaching! I subscribed and can't wait to dive into your videos. My dad is half Slovak but his dad didn't teach him the language so he would be "Americanized", and I want to learn the language so badly! My family is from Chlebnice and Liesek.
Great video, thanks
thank you ♥
So good nice video... Very helpful... beautiful voice
Thank you ❤

My Grandparents were from Montenegro 🇲🇪 I only got to know my Baba they came to America 🇺🇸 in1908 I bless born 1954 by that time she knew English very well. My Dad was the 7th Son last one. When around him if he was angry he cussed in Slavic so I wouldn’t know what he said. So I only know very few words like Dobro not sure 🤔 spelling of some words. Not sure if Slovak is the same as Slavic.
Dobro site for sure I will send it to my Granddaughters!
Very cool family history 😊 Slavic languages is larger term. Slavic languages are Slovak, Czech, Polish and many others :)
Thank you for your kind words ❤
Thanks. Your video is helpful
you are welcome ♥ I am glad to hear that ;)

thynk you so much ♥

I learned that "zdrobnenina" is the word for Slovak nicknames like Katka, Janik, Denisko, Majka, atd. Is the word prezyvka the same thing or does it mean something different?
No. Prezývka translates to nickname. Zdrobnenina is when you try say something but kinda in a cute way like for example - Dom (house) Domček (domček being THE zdrobnenina). You can do same with names Jan/Janik.
@@Jokerplusfull Ďakujem. This is very helpful. Can you tell me the prezývka and the zdrobnenina for my name, Denis? Is "Denisko" a prezývka or a zdrobnenina?
I would say that Denisko is zdrobnenina because it sounds cuter from the original word and prezývka can be Denni for example. For zdronenina with names in Slovak we usually use the ending with "ko, ka" like Denis-KO. Or with my name that is Tamara people say Tamarka. And my nickname (=prezývka) can be whatever people call me like for example Tami. Hope my explanation helps :D
Can you do videos on songs for kids?
do you mean like me singing the songs :D (because I am not a good singer :D ) or just some kind of "review" of the songs maybe translation and link the song in the description of the video? :)
@@SlovakGirlTami I would like maybe a list of kids songs. I want to learn them so I can sing them to my godson as I teach him Slovak.
@@petraduris6102 okay :) I got you. Yes, I will do video like this. No problem :)
2:23 Actually a more literal translation would be "How do you call yourself?" as "sa" takes on the meaning of "yourself" in this situation.

I was not familiar with the form -- "Ake je tvoje meno?" Is it correct to also say "Čo je tvoje meno?"
"Ake je tvoje meno" is not used that much, but people would understand if you ask it like that :) to answer your question, I have never heard people say "Čo je tvoje meno?" it is just not natural in Slovak language I would say and that phrase is not correct to use. I mean Slovak people will understand what you are trying to ask but I would not learn that phrase with "Čo" at the beginning :) Most common is "Ako sa voláš?" and I use that one almost every time :)
@@SlovakGirlTami dakujem. Your response about asking someone’s name in Slovak was VERY helpful to me!
I want more videos ❤❤
