This is so cool. The last step is like a modified surface crochet slip stitch on the inside. The i-cord looks great when you're done. Love it.

Thank you so much for this Natalie 😍😍 You've definitely made this way less scary and much less complicated ❤

I love this. I never knew you could crochet I cord on. It looks easier than knitting it on so I’m going to give it a go. Thanks so much. ❤

Just finished my first of many crochet yarn cozies. Your pattern is brilliant as always and the videos take away all the guess work. Thank you for your very clear videos. The method to tighten the icord is positively genius! The knitted cozies are just perfect, but I must say the crochet is faster. Love your patterns!

Thank you for such a great tutorial! I was always taught a reverse twisted single crochet made an i-cord. But it doesn’t at all look like an I-cord. Total revelation.

Your tutorial is so good. Thank you for taking the time to record it. Will you have a video on the crochet stitch you used for your cozy? I have never seen it before.

Always learning something new from you. This a great finish to the crochet version of the yarn cozy. 🧶💕🧶

Thanks for this, Natalie. One question - It takes time to put the DPN down and pick it up again. Any way to make this faster? BTW - I normally knit and this is my first finished crochet project since the 1990s!

I'm about to start the icord on my first crochet yarn cozy 🙈 do you sl st on the last round of ribbing? I was unsure because of the continuous rounds.

So I decided to slip stitch, and am now working on an icord. It's very fiddly but also a lot of fun! Thanks for the great tutorial

You're saying chain 1 after sliding over the loops but I think you mean a slip stitch. Chaining wouldn't add one loop to the hook.
