I really enjoyed the match between Uruguay and Ghana. If I can't go, you can't either. Ghana desperately stopped Uruguay. The ties between the two teams are deep.
There is no tie from Uruguay side. Just some nonsense from some Ghana fans. The truth is that the Uruguayan DT didn't think that Korea was going to win it and he dismantled the team to ensure a victory. Korea/Portugal was 7 minutes ahead, so when Korea scored at 91, Uruguay went pushing again. Give it another 10 minutes and a fair referee and Uruguay would have scored. Congratulations to Korea anyways, we like this country.

The goal situations after Korea scored were nothing of danger. Uruguay already substituted the best strikers and had the whole team tired. Stop the nonsense.

Suarez played a great game, one of my favorite forwards, I see maybe a couple more seasons before he retires, el pistolero, one of the greatest.
He's probably going to play in Brazil for another 4 years. But I expect he'll retire from international duties after Copa America 2024 (as will Edinson Cavani), he's already slowed down a fair amount and Uruguay have some excellent striker prospects coming through like Darwin Nunez and Facundo Pellistri.
I know many people in the comments are saying Ghana eliminated Uruguay or that it was Korea, b'cos they defeated Portugal. But, it was actually Uruguay who eliminated themselves by playing too cautiously and defensively in their previous games. In actual fact it was their coach, Diego Alonso, and the woeful tactics of The Uruguayan Football Association that sabotaged their efforts.
