Lyrics:
Worship
Like a man at the bottom
Like your life ain’t a fucking lie
Who made you apostle?
Built you up from an endless night?
Heraclitus was right
God is day and night
Leave your pretense in the deep end
When there’s no light inside
You will drown yourself in spite
I’m counting down the days
Until you’re all erased
Can you ever forgive me?
I’m on the edge of a knife
Calm yourself
Feel the ground
Some of us will never forget
Just take all of my memories
And give me back my life
Know yourself
In the sound
When I wake up as someone else
Oh how you’ll burn
In the hell you denied
All you heretics are blind
Mass flooding
Wash away the refuse from this place
Blades gutting
Every single skeptic without grace
Unburden
Those of us who chose a higher fate
No reason
Left for me to follow
All you hopelessly still searching in the dark
Can you ever forgive me?
I’m on the edge of a knife
Calm yourself
Feel the ground
Some of us will never forget
Just take all of my memories
And give me back my life
Know yourself
In the sound
When I wake up
Worship
Like a man at the bottom
Like my life ain’t a fucking lie
Who made me a prophet?
Fuck you and your endless pride

The chorus is some of the most beautiful lyricism ive ever heard omg. This whole album 😭😭😭😭
They put their entire dolussy in this album. Andrew said he put hella amounts of his own personal funds into making this. Baby, its paying off. 👌🏿🙌🏿
The production hits so hard and is why this is my fav Eidola album. It suits the songs better than their previous releases.
One of the best songs of the album
Gawd dayum…this song hits all the cues man!

No hate or judgement I just genuinely need to know, what’s up with the satanic cover art? Is it not that deep? This song is amazing, I’m actually obsessed with it but that’s kind of off putting to me. I’m not a bible thumper, but i am in recovery from drugs, and when you live the kind of life I have, you wanna try to stay away from any kind of possible bad energy. I know nothing about this band, this is the first song I’ve heard so like I said, not judging at all just curious x
Despite the lyrics, Eidola isn't *technically* a Christian band. they tend to pull imagery and symbolism from any and all religions and philosophies but they do focus heavily on spirituality as a whole and you're right to pick up on the idea that this figure is meant to represent an evil force but it isn't to glorify it. Even though some of the lyrics are definitely written from his perspective, he's still solidly portrayed as the villain .
The mask represents The Alchemist, one of the two spirits who split from the main character of the story of Eidola's discography (Samsara) when he died toward the end of one of their earlier albums. He ascended to a type of demi-godhood where he decided that to bring peace to everything he would have to essentially extend his influence to everyone and basically became a false idol and by the time of this album basically is acting as the Anti-Christ while The Architect (the other half of Samsara and the protagonist of the most recent album) is on a Crusade to undo his teachings and it ultimately culminates in a sort of Armageddon scenario which is why this album is so heavy, it's basically describing a war between good and evil and reconciling that both came from the same person.
@@loki210appreciate this explanation. Soo badass!!
Why not just upload the album as a whole instead of spamming my feed. Unsubbed
