I love how you weave magic into otherwise ordinary stories. Your voice and the way you write have me entranced. I would love to read these if at all possible.

I haven't ever read any of your stuff, so I don't really have a context for a lot of the plot/characters you talk about, but I loved it none the less. Your voice is very soothing to listen too, and your analyses are really cool. Thanks for sharing :)

Favorite Rachel Lines (in no particular order + thoughts)
4 - Lonan and Reeve cute sibling moment // just loving the silent film vibes
7 - Opening Paragraph // i remember reading this on tumblr and was like, yo >.>
10 - gods ghost men // the way i can picture the cinematography for this
13 - Harrison identity crisis extended // giving me will graham vibes
19 - Harrison gives Jeremiah an out // giving me murder husband vibes but on a younger plane
23 - Harrison wakes dazed & confused // love the flow here and feels like the best excerpt to end the Body Back arc of the video
24 - Opening 2 Scenes // reminds me of Sundays where the morning seemed to matter
35 - Loan goes to church & queerness contemplation // it feels like the ending of a movie that is not happy nor sad, but like you’ve settled into your skin
45 - Jeremiah arrives at his childhood home in Baltimore // :’3c
57 - Giant opening of Sunless Ground // like a short film
Favorite Except From Might Be My Final Completed Work For The Year:
"The ocean surges at every step while the high tide still remains, patting the mud traps and the coastline like a mother in search of herself. Or a young daughter barely wedded trying to find out if she had a knife. The ocean turns without the men-the fishermen, the boys. Only at night it seems alive to play the mischief it’s allowed: the choppy waves, scrambling weeds, the jut of creatures and their shells, the little hop hop of tiny crabs fleeing farther from the beach, and what sometimes could be a scale was in reality the moon’s reflection.
"The hunt continues (regardless) while the high tide still remains."

I would say give 17 year old Rachel a break* in terms of “not making sense”.
Literally Cormac Fucking McCarthy wrote about an “autistic darkness” in a novel that definitely won him the Pulitzer Prize.
*And ofc at least you also have “Has Never Written Pointlessly Gross Depictions of Neurodivergence Via Pointless Anthropomorphism” going for you.

You have some seriously mic-drop lines. I'm only half way through but the concept of God not wanting to admit he created Adam because of the likeness rather than the likeness being incidental is exactly the kind of reflection on the Christian god that fascinates me. also "he gives, he takes - it's what God does best"?????? damn. as someone else who moved on from faith, these excerpts are nice to listen to
