yeah he’s dope, the only complaint i have of him is that one time he was interviewing Eminem and he played some songs from the album and he left the music playing and it was pretty loud so they started talking over the music and of course they had to raise their voices, it was kinda annoying

zane lowe is easily one of the best interviewers i've ever watched - he really gets the artists he interviews to open up about the most interesting and nuanced places in the stories that they're trying to tell, and it really adds a whole new dimension to their work for the fans that get a chance to see this thought process behind-the-scenes

To all the Spanish speakers complaining about her pronunciation:
Her accent in the song is Puerto Rican (I’m Puerto Rican so I know) and specifically reggaeton style (street style) pronunciation from Puerto Rico. As soon as I started watching the video for the song the first time, I knew it was written by a Puerto Rican reggaeton artist. She then mentioned Tainy in this interview and that confirms what I already knew. So her sound is not Mexican, but she is. So what? She learned the pronunciation for how the song was written and intended to be from the writers!! It’s the same a Becky G in some of her songs; if Puerto Ricans and Colombians are writing songs for them (and in reggaeton style to top it off) and doing duets and collaborations with them they will sound like those artist sometimes. Even more so, when they clearly are more fluent in English and hadn’t practiced their Spanish much until now that they are adults starting to sing songs in Spanish while at the same time learning new words and words that are written with other colloquial vocabulary from whatever country other artists/writers are from!
Cut her some slack and don’t be stuck up because at least, she is honoring her heritage with everything else in the video; from her slight Frida look to her puffy sleeves flower dress and even her “sagrado corazón” (the milagro pendant/brooche)! Y’all just want something to complain about! Shut up and enjoy and appreciate the music!
