  • We rented small condo in Acapulco, Mexico for two months and explored the city and neighborhood. Beautiful beaches, warm water, friendly people, fresh fish straight from the fisherman's market, cliff divers, live concerts and nice boat tours.

I think Acapulco will regain its legendary nobility as a tourist destination. Remember all the movie stars had a pied a terre in Acapulco.

What a great great video I have watched it many many times and shown it to student in my Spanish classes . We used to travel to Acapulco and stay the la palapa hotel right where you filmed so much. it brings back great memories of 20 visits to Acapulco. thanks so much it is the best

great that someone took the effort to step in where the tourism folk have missed the mark. The weather is dependably fanstastic, even an occasional evening shower is another freshing treat. Si se puede.

1962-2012 was my time of visiting this beautiful city, but earthquakes and hurricanes were too much.
    I love the Caleta area.

Does anyone notice how empty the beaches are? Acapulco was my favorite place in the world...but there were many tourists and locals from Mexico City on the beaches and in the restaurants, etc. Looks like a ghost town to me now!

Does anyone notice the lack of crowds and the scarcity of people not only at the beaches but also at eating spots in the city. People ain't stupid...they will go somewhere else where it's safer!

Too bad that the drug cartel, corruption and violent crime has wrecked what was once a desired tourist destination. We were frequent visitors between 1971 and 1980.
