Celtic didn't need a 5-goal win. A 3-goal win would have been sufficient. Celtic also won the title on goal DIFFERENCE, not goal AVERAGE. Goal average was abolished in the late 60s/early 70s. Had goal average still been in place, Hearts would have been champions.
@@rossharper1675 yes sorry you're right on both counts ..Hearts lost the league to Kilmarnock in 65' on goal average..had thought for 'defo' that 'the celts' did need 5 in Paisley but looking at the GD 3 was enough.
