When I was in college in the 2000s we could only use scholarship money on books school supplies only nothing else.
I know this is probably too late. But you're supposed to report those scholarships to your fin aid department. So if you get fin aid they'll deduct that from whatever they planned to give you.

Where did you apply for the scholarships?
I applied to scholarships through college board, any club I was involved in, anything that my school and other members of my community were offering, scholarships offered by individual universities and lastly anything that my county school board suggested. I hope this helps!
