Oh BTW I forgot to mention that the amount of spice mix will be good for two or three dishes

Had a short work placement over the summer a while ago in Galway, and this was very much one of the dishes I acquainted myself with as I stayed in a dinky old shared house, good memories!

If you put a bit of custard powder into that flour mix it will make the chicken appear golden.

Our local Chinese does Salt & Chilli Chips, but there's no chicken with it. This is another one I'd love to try once the weather is cooler 😁

Irish spice bag
Add equal amount of Birds original custard powder (not instant!!!.. Doesn't work properly) to the potato starch and the chicken will go the more colourful yellow the you get from the takeaway.
I know I know I know!! I was living in France, and guess what? Birds custard powder isn't available in France. Check out my other spice bag video 😉
