Really great to see people still build DSMs in 2020. I had 2 DSMs back in the early 2000s. A 92 TSI and a 98 GSX. Blasts to drive and build but they were headaches. I had so many issues with my 92 TSI I ended up junking it in 2006. The GSX I held on for a few more years then traded it in for an EVO X. The 2G body is such eye candy today, cant find anything like it, I haven't seem a 1G on the streets in probably 10 years and I haven't seen a 2G on the streets in probably 6 years. I peak in on DSM forums every so often to see if I can find another 2G GSX to tinker with as a project. Anyway... glad to see someone still keeps them alive in 2020 💪

Barely see any really being driven. only weekend cruisers at this point.
500hp to the road. I wauld say yes in that platform. The big HP factory cars coming out today are really heavy. So he will keep up no problem. May even be taking out some of them. Love it! 💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥

One of the funnest car's I've owned, I'm running close to 50lbs aluminum rod motor there a blast!!!

Found this video just by chance! My GSX with the same turbo and E85 goes on the Dyno feb1st. Goal is 600+ maybe 650 but with H beam rods that’s the limit. Can’t wait.
You can handle over 650 on H beams. With my Galany we did 692 WHEEL HP with eagle H beams. Drove it for 3 yrs like that before I had other issues but the rods never gave a problem. Good luck!!

I heard that! Transmission problems? I want some reliability so I went back to 2.0 instead of 2.4 liter. I kept shredding 4th gear! Lol

If i had a 3794 and made 540whp on E I would cry. You can make that on pump gas with such a large charger.
That turbo is definitely not being used for it's full potential. Needs higher content E85.
I miss my 2g dsm even tho it was gst the boost was lovely

500 for the street is honestly plenty. It gets scary above 550.
@@TheTurboDad im only at 360 in a miata and its plenty. Building a LS turbo swapped G35. Looking for 600hp out of that.
500hp stock transmission ?
Yes. Stock 1992 GSX Transmission. On my turbo van im at 652 HP with a stock transmisson also.

The turbo isn't even in its sweet spot. I made 539HP (mustang dyno) on pump gas (+meth/water) @ 26psi... 581@ 30 psi....old BW S364.
666@39psi (add race gas).. all this back in 2011 ..The little turbo ran out of breath.. ..Your tuner must know FP3791 is for real power......maybe your engine is not up to par..
what exhaust?
The exhaust is custom made with a Mahnaflow muffler
1g dsm 539hp (mustang dyno) pump with meth.....boost 26.4 psi.. . 666hp (race gas)
change to E85 but Clutch couldn't handle the power....
Man I would love to have a dyno sheet that said "666" haha.

Update!! Same motor ...bigger cams...bigger turbo....and E85......breaking in a Southbend clutch hope its strong enough. Car is the same 1gb
