Am I the only one that noticed the wire didnt break in the joint, but at the edge of it? There was nothing mechanically wrong with that connection based on where it failed.
Ment for stranded wire, a little flux helps (very little) and you used a size too small, should have used the blue connector for that size wire. Also I just use a small torch for more direct and intense heat to melt the solder, just have to wave it a bit to avoid melting the shrink tube. These things can hold up a full grown man hanging from them.
We use these all the time for terminating shields of pairs and conductors. We use a piece of jumper wire twist it with the shield install solder sleeve and heat until it melts. It is only good for stranded and .are sure to let it cool.after soldering. If it's to warm it can pull apart
You did it wrong. Its not made for solid wire. Its for stranded.
Yep. Stranded wire, push them together, melt the solder but don't let it melt through the plastic. This guy didn't read the packaging.

Read the instructions, also choose the appropriate size connector for the wire size.
Instructions not on Amazon 🤷♂️
Use the right size for what you are working with

The crimp butt connectors that have a built in heat shrink are far better
Ya, these aren’t my fave

Stranded, got it
Stranded wire seems to be the thing, I’m not an electrician . Mainly for my connections I usually marret so this is quite interesting
Use stranded, twist the wires in a straight splice and heat it gently with a torch lighter
Not enough heat. Plus use stranded wire. But at the end of the day it is kind of a dinky connection
Tiny blow torches work well you have to get those and practice as to not melt through
If you used them properly, it would help. Holding the heat in 1 spot if just going to melt, whatever it's pointing at.
Yes you did it wrong, dont use it on solid wire and there are heat guns specifically for this
Did it very wrong.
It’s meant to be used on stranded wire and you need to use a reflector on it
ya you did it wrong plus you kink it an broke the seal of the tube
😂
These are just terrible
