Hey there! As one alt format enjoyer to another, I think you would really get a kick out of looking into Domain Format! I make content on it, and you can find the "how to play" video on my channel. I would love to see your take on the format! (it's 4 player games with 60 card singleton decks and a deck master)

Time leap sounds really cool, but they sound way too busted becauss theyre essentially link 1 monsters.

Timeleap is a keyword from the game Cardfight Vanguard, with the example monster shown being the monster Chronojet Dragon. The mechanic doesn't feel right for Yugioh because they did their best to one for one the mechanic.

Not gonna lie, Chronojet Dragon (Time Gate Dragon in the example) would probably need to be reworded for the purpose of the ability "Time Leap".
First off, "Time Leap" will be considered Face Down Banished Monsters for the purposes of the abilities of both players. However, your monsters must be placed face up.
I would first like to preface that the card design will be reworked into Yugioh mechanics (while still maintaining the Cardfight Vanguard theme). Chronojet Dragon (Time Gate Dragon) would probably be a 7* [Light/Machine/Time Leap/Effect] with 2500/2000.
Auto/Inherent ability: There can be no cards that be activated in response to this card's summon while in the middle position. While this card is face up in the middle position, this card cannot move position(s).
Auto/Ignition ability: If your extra deck has two or more face up monsters as a result of using an ability, this card can attack with piercing damage.
Continuous ability: Battle Damage can only occur with this card. Effect damage does not occur when you are below 1600LP. Your cards that require you to pay cost will be paid, but if your cost would set you to below 1500LP, your life is reset to 1500LP. Instead, place one counter on this card. When this card reaches 6 counters, you lose the game.
Activated Ability: You may discard card(s) in hand with a combined level of 7 or greater. If you do, you may special summon a level 8 or greater [Time Leap] card from your extra deck. The special summon will be placed on top of this card, gain 1000 attack points, and will also gain the name of this card. Choose one of your opponent's monsters and send that card to the bottom of the deck.

If we get any new ones, ideally we get one that slows the pace of the game down without creating a new floodgate. I like the idea of gate monsters someone had, where you have two new zones (each next to the extra monster zones). You summon them for a few extra persisting benefits (not drawbacks for your opponents, ideally. Buffs feels good for you, but nerfs feel bad for someone else)... These gate monsters would take other monsters as tributes for summon (possibly act as material, like XYZ), but those monsters would need to be either ritual, synchros, XYZ, or high level link monsters (I say high level, ideally 3+, because link monsters are inherently generic). Like one gate monsters would take like 2+ synchros, or a synchro and a XYZ, or 3 link monsters to summon, ECT... I feel like this would act like a sink, to stop the extra deck spam from combo decks, but still give them worthwhile benefit.

I have thought of a new summoning mechanic called Duplex Summon. The ifea is that Duplex cards are cards yhat start in yhe Extra Deck as Extra Deck cards but the first time they would leave the field, by battle or card effect, they will instead be shuffled into the Main Deck then you draw 1 card. From that point and on, they are treated as Main Deck monsters. You can have up to 5 Duplex cards in addition to your 15 Extra Deck monsters. The other unique part about these cards are their Rating called Stars. Some effects of these cards reduce or increase their Star number. This is permanent in a Duel.
Say for example you have a 6 Star Duplex monster and you use its effect to remove 2 stars and do the effect then leaves the field. It is instead shuffled into the Deck and you then draw 1 card(this draw ignores effect that restrict that). Say you now draw that monster. That monster is now a Star 4 Duplex monster can can be summoned and also treated as a level 4 monster. They are the only monsters that can naturally become level 0 outside of card effects.

For example the Ace monster of the protagonist if there was an anime would be the following:
      Light Greyquazer Dragon
      8 Star LIGHT Dragon Duplex
      2500/2000
      Eff: 2 LIGHT monsters.
While this card is anywhere but in the Extra Deck face-down, you can remove 2 stars and negate a card or effect. You can activate this effect of "Light Greyquazer Dragon" only once per turn.

      @gkarak1996 Před 2 měsíci +1

Ps: You can only have 1 copy of a Duplex card per Deck.

12:20 ngl if I was told about link and pendulum Summons 11y ago I'd laugh. If needed they could add many mechanisms for it. However I doubt the deck will be strong unless they've got a towers as well as supports.
It could be similar to ninja decks for instance, flipping face down to do sumn while the card flipped face up does sumn on flip as well.
