This is the moment that showed the world that Joe was not a monster they first believed him to be. He didn’t even just grab the kid, he placed his hand and waited for Jason to trust him before he can help him.
Superb music composition coupled with class animatronics and a heartwrenching scene. What really gets me is the eyes. They were so realistic, they say the eyes are the window to the soul and they managed to capture that and show a genuine care in Joe's eyes. The look of a kind soul recognising a young boy in danger as he once was and a need to help and save an innocent from a purely unselfish preposition. This was truely a beautiful scene.
