Really interesting DJ love these tours of London and love the pride you display when you talk about it. 😊
I love this city 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙂🙂👍🏼👍🏼
@@DarrenJohn I live in Cumbria and have been to London 4 times. Love the city but find it daunting and so fast moving. Really enjoy your vlogs because you show the true beauty of an amazing city 👍😊
Workers there late 80’s through most of the 90’s. Changed a lot! Nostalgic.
Such an amazing city we live in Darren, I see my favorite food stall that serves an amazing king prawn with garlic wrap in Borough market. Thanks for sharing 👍😁 Omg school boy error 😂
I can honestly say that if I was to pay for a personal tour guide of London, I'd choose you.
You love the city, you know the history, you know the quirky places to eat, drink, shop and the side roads where there are more gems to discover.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I never knew that those buildings were named cheese grater, gherkin, walkie talkie and scalpel 😂
Would love to see that video you made on the Clink museum if you choose to share.
Again thank you for sharing a super video sweet and educating us xx 🙏🏻❤️
Thank you for your kindness
@@DarrenJohn you're welcome and thank you for sharing sweet xx 🙏🏻❤️
Wow. That really was a view of your London, great video, a real feeling of belonging, thank you for sharing. Loved it all. ❤
The Walkie Talkie building. Great viewing spot at the top, and it's free. That would be an interesting video.
Interesting video. Thank you.👍😘
Brilliant Darren ,London fascinates me ,the architecture and history is amazing . Keep them coming ,your doing a sterling job me old china.😁😁👍👍
I'll never get sick of these videos. Seeing you walk around your gorgeous City telling us all the amazing facts and things in the area. It's the next best thing for those of us that aren't there. Takes me back to your original walking videos. Can't wait to see more. 😁👍🏼💙
Very kind
Love walking down the river in London when it's cold and sunny DJ. Borough Market is great except the fact its mega expensive and also a tourist trap. But still some great food on offer that's OTC's.
I used to work in Bridge House at south end od the latest London Bridge and Borough Market was a tegular visit. I also worked in the Hop Exchange just around from the Market. Great days . M
Yeah, nice around there, love ginger pig sausage rolls, wow!!!¡! You can get them online, oh dear 😆😆😆love it by the river, maybe the new building will be the air fryer 😄😄
No questions today darren.
If you want to know about London ask Darren John
I was about to tell you that the Cutty Sark is at Greenwich. But I used to go for lunch in The Mudlark right below our office block of Bridge House
Another great video, showing us around the great city of London!
Interesting facts & sights around London...brilliant
Lizzie👌🤗🥰
Thanks so much! 😊
Another great vlog, Borough Market was very busy. I remember your video on The Clink, was very good too
I'm enjoying the content on both channels 👍🇮🇪
Awesome, thank you!
Another enjoyable vlog DJ 😊 felt for some of it as if I was walking around London myself 😁 the street food always makes me salivate 😋 thank you for sharing 😊
👍👍👍👍
I love your walking tours of London,i love London! 🙂👍❤️ thank you!
Great, keep doing these. You are brilliant at gauging the atmosphere and we all know the best food places now🤣🤣
Great walk about pal never been to London so it's very interesting to see it in such a way 👍
Nice vlog DJ. It’s been a while since I was last in London, 2019 to be precise and I do miss the place. I knew as soon as you said “The Cutty Sark” you meant “The Golden Hind” I’ve never been in “The Clink” although I’ve walked past it many times. It’s a shame they didn’t turn what was left of “The Clerkenwell House Of Detention” into a museum as well instead of a snooker hall although now I think that’s closed down. I believe now it’s a private site and closed to visitors. Borough Market absolutely busy as ever it is. The areas you walked are truly magnificent and show the multiculture and beauty of our capital city to it’s strengths. Nice vlog DJ👏🏻
Nice one, thank you
The current London bridge is not a refurb. It is a new build opend in 1973. The previous one that it replaced was sinking into the river bed. Opend in 1831. To replace the 600 year old bridge.
The 1831 bridge was sold to Robert McCulloch for £1.02 million. He had the exterior masonry shipped to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. To clad a concrete bridge as a tourist attraction.
Just a quick thought before I settle down to watch another episode D.J's London.Offer your talents and love of this great city to the next Mayor of London as a tourist supremo 😊 You'd rock it❤ At my age, very old. My memories let me see the days of " Dead London Sundays " what a difference 60yrs can make. And floating in peace. H.M.S BELFAST Ah thanks again, i share with my son the sights and sounds of your work. Great bonding😊Allan&Family
Too kind sir
I remember The Clink vlog, very good!
Another brilliant tour of London vlog. Great to see you out and about sharing the sights of London.
Thanks for watching
Hey up mate another good look around London from you, wasn't cauty sark sailing boat famous for going round world had a model ov it as a kid, tower bridge was what the American thought he was buying when purchasing london bridge and shipping it to USA, and as for lockdown it was 21 as boris opened pubs on the day ov my 60th in April, looking forward to the Sunday roast video
😊
Thank you . Great vid . ☝️
Nice One Darren.
Great Video !! Never been will now for sure thanks Darren
London breathtaking 😂😂
Loved the vlog Darren. Can you do a vlog on Battersea’s power station? Sorry if you’ve already done that i must have missed that one.
Hi Darren, its Helen. Borough Market looks Fantastic. Heard of the Ginger Pig, does Fantastic Hog Rolls doesn't it. Love your Flute Music of London Bridge, very nice 😍
Ginger Pig is OFF THE CHARTS. It's a butchers with a hot bake section. Sausage Rolls, Pasties, Scotch Eggs
London Bridge, like Waterloo Bridge was a complete failure of any imagination. But the magic of London is that it constantly evolves and somehow manages to retain the ancient, the quirky, the magical, the splendid and the eyseores all as a wonderful place. There really is no place as special in the world.
I’ve never been to this market, next time I’m in London may check it out.
I miss London Bridge LB - was working there 2008 to 2014. Company moved location to Canary Wharf what a disaster. LB is fabulous always . Just wanted to add that between my office colleagues we always mentioned the HIND (ie Golden Hind) as HAND IN NOTICE DAY !! we hated our jobs then
Brilliant video as always & thanks DJ 🤗
Like your walk arounds London DJ - need to check out Borough Market this year - looks amazing
Borough Market was amazing before it was turned into a tourist trap.
Great video
As a Chelsea fan I've been listening to that song with different words for years. lol.
Love your walking tours of London. I’m curious to know the title of the music featured in this vlog - instrumental with big honkin’ sax. Love it.
Love this! 🥰☀️🥰xxx
👍🏼🙂🙏🏼
Hi buddy. How you doing just say hello. How's the work situation going I hope you have success soon. Your London buddy stu. 🙂
There are a lot of tasty food stores In Borough market Darren I hope you were a very good man because of the temptation 😂
Lovely bubble at Maria's cafe. I used to spend a fair bit of time round there and eaten at the market many times. All the places I know and love. Clink St is full of character. Thanks for the vid Darren.
Oh yeah....guess who bought the Tracklement's Sweet Mustard ketchup?? 🤣
🙏🏼👍🏼🙂 - What do you think?
London Bridge is falling down is an Olde English Nursery Rhyme it refers not to the Bridge itself but has very political undertones that are seditious hence the nursey rhyme.
You could lose your head in Tudor times saying about the monarchy.
Thanks for video tour from London 😊
Sadly and unfortunately boro market has gone expensive still nice but pricey
I believe thats actually the 3rd London bridge. The 2nd one was taken down in the 60’s and sold and is now in Arizona. There is a urban myth that they thought they were buying Tower bridge but as I said its a myth.
👍
Darren, didn’t the Americans buy the original London Bridge? Miss taking it for Tower Bridge.
At 08:26 you missed the MUG HOUSE (fab wine restaurant pat of Davy) and also the MUDLARK (part of Nicholson pubs). Once very popular.. I think area defo gone downhill (but not sunk)
Nice tour DJ. I thought the original London Bridge was moved to Arizona when the new one was built.
Thats a bit mad. I've just been watching a documentary on here about London Bridge. Then up you pop 😊
🙂🙏🏼
Wasn’t “London Bridge Is Falling Down” supposed to be for when the Queen died?
Take a sausage roll home for dinner. 🇿🇼
Darren is London Bridge tube station the best one for that area ?
Yes, Jubilee Line
@@DarrenJohn cheers Darren
The Golden Hinde is a fake built in 1973, it's made of plywood - doesn't do it for me.

Have you seen this 1982 video of Bob Hoskins and Barry Norman. They tour around there before area was renovated. Interesting hearing Bob Hoskins views too.
You showed the Nancy Stairs from above. Did you know they are the only part left of the old London Bridge?
Hey up Martin thank you for recommending this I enjoyed it, poor theams
Ment to say ov the river front
@@johngibson3837 it is interesting to watch. As in 1982 Bob Hoskins was talking about lack of housing. As well as greed in selling this land. 40 years later nothing has changed in London lol
Shame khan doesn’t value London as much as you do
Great video
