2 years ago I "discovered " you as a gym instructor....I was at a very bad phase in my life with a shattered heart after 35 years of marriage..I became physically sick,lost my hair,put on weight. ..and I found this specific video of yours...now...I am crying ....because you will never know what your kindness, the softness of your voice, the "keep going",the "one more" when I couldn't anymore...have done for me...2 years later I have lost weight ,I run and walk everyday,I eat healthy,I look after myself,put on makeup,I smile more,I had my hair cut really short "à la garçon"..I look ten years younger ...I have been told. ...and you started it,put me in the right path...I love you and I will be for ever grateful. .😊

I'm 24 and a Professional Dancer. My mom always used to love these workouts so I thought to give it a try when I stumbled upon this video. Can I say I am PLEASANTLY SURPRISED at how engaging these simple movements can be for your ENTIRE body. The true definition of timeless fitness, I will definitely be incorporating this into my normal conditioning routine!!

Oh yes. I got in shape and lost weight with Jane in the early 80’s to fit into my mother’s wedding gown. I’m 70 now and rediscovered her videos on CZcams. Even though I still have my original VHS tapes I don’t have a player and they are so delicate. She is the queen. I have never had a sore muscle after doing her exercises. I just love this lady❣️

Three years ago, a week before COVID I was simply unable to continue working due to pain in my front groin, not knowing what it was until 10 months later when America was allowed to go back to the Dr. I found I have osteoarthritis.
My son encouraged me to keep moving "mom you gotta get up and move" so together my son, my dog and I walked, at first it was only a short block but eventually it became a mile then two.
Then winter hit and I didn't want to loose my forward progress.
I ran across this particular video.
I continued my exercises through the Winters thanks to you.
Now I'm 12 pounds lighter and I dont feel like I'm dying everytime I take a step, eventually I will have a hip replacement (but not yet)
I am so thankful for you and your encouragement of others to be better.

Me too, i lived in Italy and my parents bought her book, i was the only one who studied it and practiced years and years....US seemed so far, there was no internet and then all became close and so friendly, nice and interesting....lovely 80's....

Hi Jane, I was with you in the past from the ages of 33 to 40, doing your Advanced aerobics three times a week at the gym.Then I got married and had a baby at age 42 and never exercised again for 25 years,except for walking which I do daily.
This led to a 50 pound weight gain because I love butter and sugar.
I'm going to be 69 next month and I've come back to you,starting with this tape which I love and have done for 2 weeks now. You truly are an old friend.

I am in Italy and I’m 72. I can do these and find it refreshing not to do workouts with20/30 year old instructors. I also put on ABBA and dance through the house. It raises your spirit. We are in lockdown since 3 March. We can all get through this if we put the needs of others first.
@@lesleywall4186 I am in Italy too right now. My 2 Zumba instructors who are doing "live" transmissions are both in their late 40s. I was actually taking class with them around 2012/13 and I quit Zumba in 2015. I'm back doing it because of lockdown and because I know my teachers. I have a lot of respect for Jane Fonda's body of work.

Finally something I think I can do everyday and still feel like I'm doing some good exercise without killing myself. Started out with Jillian's and felt very sore afterwards. I'm fifty something and feeling the need to exercise in the dead of winter! I love how this keeps me moving and incorporates a lot of the step aerobics that i used to do years ago. This really takes me back. I had several of your videos in my early twenties and now in my fifties I'm still a huge fan. Jane shows what you can do if you never stop moving, she is still fabulous.
This was a great workout! It's gentle for a beginner like me and adaptable to all ages - I can definitely see me doing this workout with my golden-aged dad, who has the same issues as Jane mentioned in the video. Thanks BeFiT!

Thanks for posting this video. I just had a myomectomy a week ago. I was told that I need to walk everyday. This video was just the right pace to get me back to full recovery.
Just turned 68 yesterday, and I'm still doing them. And yes, the stretching feels great. Everytime I put this on and do it, I feel like I'm with an old friend. Well, I guess I am. Thank you for the inspiration!

This is really good, especially if you are slowly getting back into cardio. I do this to warm me up before a two mile walk. And l return and do her cool down after walking. Many years ago when my kids were still infants. I would do her CD work outs while they were down for naps. She instructed great. Now as a senior getting healthy again glad to find her on Utube. Thank you Jane your life health changing.

Jane Fonda has always been my favorite exercise instructor. I love the way she has embraced her older age and limitations that come with it - not being embarrassed about it, but instead helping all of us to deal with our age and stay fit as well. From what I gathered from her autobiography these workouts helped her lose weight and lose her marriage! Spending too much time away from her husband.
I just turned 40. I just didn’t find any workouts that I can stick with until today. When I found this one. You’re not rushing me and still consistently working whole body. I loved it. Thank you from bottom of my heart.
I've always enjoyed Jane's workouts, not only because of the fun, effectiveness and expertise of her routines, but also because of her warmth and the way she connects with the viewer. That's a rare quality in the exercise video landscape, and that alone is very motivating and helpful. When she says, "good job!" I really feel it! :-)
I just did the whole routine. I have knee replacements and arthritis in my hips too. This was totally doable for me. It is Not too fast, but enough pace to increase my heart rate and to feel my muscles doing some work.
It's a really good workout for someone who is easing back into exercise and maybe has some physical limitations.
I have not done a Jane workout before and I like her instructions, the health Information she gives, and her encouragement. She really is good wth that, I love that she says... It's never too late to exercise.

I was so happy to find Jane Fonda workouts that I could do in my 60's. I have gained alot of weight and need to get it off so Jane's videos are prefect for me. I used to do Jane's workouts in my 30's and now I am inspired by this great lady once again to get fit and stay in a healthy weight range.

I just came across this video. I must say that Jane Fonda's fitness level at 80+ of age is amazing. One hip and one knee replacement and she moves like she did 30 years ago. I will be incorporating this routine into my own fitness routine. ♥

DAY 1...Level 1 + Level 2 Thank you Jane Fonda!!! Glad to know the cool down is the same as level 1. Now I can cut from level 1 just before the stretches and move nicely over to level 2.

Bless you, Jane Fonda. I lost weight with your workouts after having my children in my early 20s. Decades passed and I tried other workout methods in between, instead I put on weight as I yo-yo dieted through life traumas & stresses. Now, in my early 60s, I feel like I've come home again. Thank you for the variety of videos and levels. I battle an autoimmune disorder so I can easily choose which level I can handle on any day.

Always love working out with Jane. She is authentic and so helpful with her health tips! (Jane, my mom had the antique store in a small, Montana town that you used to visit. She knew what you collected and would look for things in the winter before she'd open the shop in the summer. I think fondly of you because it brings back lovely memories of my mother in her beloved shop before Rheumatoid Arthritis made it too difficult for her to continue.)

I (50+) have been doing this and the "Fit and strong"-thing (both on level 1 so far) every afternoon for nearly a month now (here in my living room in front of the PC). I simply love it!!! And Jane´s comments, too, of course. Her commands like "Pull up tall", "Abs engaged!" or "Smile!" always come exactly in the right moment. In addition, the programs give me the opportunity to learn new English words, like glutes, hamstring, dumbbells, step tap etc. I feel the workout helps me, really! I´m sure to walk around straighter and stronger than 4 weeks ago.

Thanks Jane. I work in a gourmet food and wine store and cook for customers. At 62, it's very hard to keep the weight off. With your help, I'll get it done.
A'm 50 and after so meny surgerys and not able to move, I put on a lot of weight. I'm slow yet but able to do all those moves with little pain. I'm so happy to find the exersise I needed. Thanks a lot!!! ;)

Use to exercise along with Jane Fonda videos in my younger days & now I’m back after a loooong break in my 40’s & enjoying it more than before.
I have been doing this on my days off and I love it. I am 57. I love the warm up and finishing stretches. My only difficulty in keeping up is the lunges because my right knee needs replacing, so I do them half time without deep bends. I can manage some of the plies too. Strangely enough I find the deeper plies easier, maybe because they engage more supporting muscles and are less strain on the knees. Altogether a great work out for someone who has not done any for years.
I am 60 now - having lost nearly 20kg through gentle dieting and exercise I need help to lose the last few. thanks Jane for a super workout -you are still looking great - I hope to look as great myself soon - sure I can do with your fantastic workouts

Thank you Jane! she's lovely, I used to do her original workout in my 30's, 68 now and still keeping fit. I wrenched something in my right hip 3 months ago, it's still mending so this workout is so much easier for me than the sessions where I have to keep going down on the floor every few minutes.
