They are not called CV axles. It’s a drive shaft. All front wheel drive driveshaft’s have an inner and outer CV joint. One end goes into the transaxle and the other end runs through the wheel hub assembly.
Sorry but what ur describing is a CV axle not a drive shaft. Drive shaft use universal joints to connect to eachother while cv axles use cv joints. Front wheel drive vehicle that utilizes transaxles to convert torque into motion have CV axles.
Not the drive shaft. It’s your axel. If it were the drive shaft you would get a loud clinking noise when (usually) downshifting or going from park into reverse. You would have hard shifting if not driven delicately. This is cause by a bad U joint (part of the drive shaft). And a much more costly repair.
First off it's not a drive shaft it's called a CV axle, can get the whole thing for like 70 to $90 it is a bit of work to install though best to have a mechanic do it if you're not very mechanically inclined
Did you ever figure out the issue? I never had any issues than told my cv axle needed replaced. Once it was replaced it began doing this exact sound when I turn or excel from a red light or going up a hill. I've now replaced it 3 times and its still making this sound.
This hitting iron, am feeling to my etious, can you post the part here for us to see exactly what needs to be replaced , please it's bothering me so much.
My explorer started making a similar sound to this when I’m turning right, just not as bad. I replaced both cv axles but it’s still doing it. It’s starting to annoy the shit out of me
hi, I have an Audi A3 2005 1.9, I hear a "cla cla" when I release the accelerator pedal, the joints are new, the ones on the gearbox side are also new, what can I check?
What about a similar noise only when light acceleration between 20 to 25 mph. Noise stops when accelerating harder, and when braking with both brakes and/or engine?
Yeah I have a similar issue where if I accelerate to the left it kinda vibrates/rattles for maybe .5 seconds. That's it. Slow acceleration makes no noise. Boot looks good. Car is old with 160k on it though.
It can finish breaking and leave you on the side of the road. Sudden loss of acceleration. Mine was poping none spot though before it stopped popping and I lose motion
Props to whoever held that camera
youtube: he’ll just watch anything at this point

Change the CV axles and inner shafts on both sides and if you still have a slight vibration with no shaking its your hub assembly’s 👉
Do hubs usually sound like that ?
wheel bearing?
Just had the same sound coming from my vehicle started off sounding exactly the same and progressively got worse it was the wheel bearing
I changed my cv axles and now I hear this nose constantly. As the wheel turns it makes that cranking sound
@@NaztyGamingHDdid u find why?
Sounds like a bad cv joint to me

Not sure. Could be the hub bearing. I went the same way the other day.

Ahh I see the problem, it's attached to the front wheels 😂
Question is. Does it also have it in the rear…
What what can be the noise is it coming from the engine or the transmission
Did you fix problem. Was it axle

Was this on a model T Ford ?
I have a 2007 Pontiac torrent when I drive it knocks right at the bottom what could be that noise
Save a few thousand dollars get some high temp grease a needle and grease gun with some high temp silicone to cover the puncture and you’ll be fine.
Like a bad CV joint sound
What kind of camera? Magnetic/ outdoor waterproof? Cellphone? I need one.
Your car probably isnt enjoying the static steering either
Nice silicone boot.

Man WTH. Mine makes rattling noise going straight but when I turn it doesn’t make any noise.when I’m going 40 mph and up
Sounds like a bad cv joint or a u joint
CV is gone. It's cheaper to replace the whole axel
The whole driveshaft it is.
That's a CV axle, not a driveshaft.
I'm getting same problem
What was the issue? & how did you fix it?? I have the same issue GL500 2015
New CV axle

Either you don’t know what that part in the video is called, or you don’t know what a drive shaft is. Either way, that’s the wrong name.
That ain't a driveshaft
Toyota Camry 1999?🥲
Does this happen before axle breaks??
i dont know how to say it in english but its the joints that usually give out, the axle rarely if ever breaks
eventually the bearings will go and the tire will smoke and glow Ted
What will be the problem if continue to drive it like that
It can finish breaking and leave you on the side of the road. Sudden loss of acceleration. Mine was poping none spot though before it stopped popping and I lose motion

the one that broken usually the opposite where the wheel turn
That usually applies to a wheel bearing.
