Id buy V2 or v3 versions of this
Besides lower cost as is normal with technology what wild thing will v3 have I wonder
I got millions comin so ima gonna try it
Im buying version 10 when its fully matured and its 500 bucks.
@@LittleByrdEee the NONE Pro version coming later probably. It would still be like 2K$...
Yea same here
Imagine pairing this with something like unreal engine 5 and spacial 3D, the mind trip with photorealistic environments would be insane. The next 10 years of this technology is exciting!
And this is nothing, once quantum computers become accesible for everyone, humanity will be in another level, you will be able to live your whole life virtually (not sure that’s good though…).
@@christopheraguilar4792 So .... the Matrix?
Apple has bad relationships with Epic, I highly doubt that lol
You mean UNITY right? They did :D
You know that this is a thing for years now? We don’t have to imagine anything, it has already been done, and it sucks 😂
As a day trader I think this will be awesome to have a butt load of screens opened all at once. Having monitors and tvs everywhere gets cluttered.
I am just dont sure yet how the Dom will work and how will you select what charts to trade on.
@@naxT890 Yeah, but I think the possibility is 100% there to make it work.
Day trading is just gambling
As a day trader u can also afford that in India due to currency differences people struggle to even buy the latest iphone pro max model
VR is only for closers.
Once these are available to be demoed, Apple Stores will be jam packed with people waiting to try it out. Price tag will be out of reach for many, but the buzz it will create at physical Apple stores will be epic, leading to increased sales at these stores.
Yeah…no.
Im definitely waiting to go and try one
Waiting for cheap Chinese copies on ebay and Amazon.
@@TheLYagAmi Yea, yes. Just wait.
@@larryc1616 Right, how's that cheap iPhone copy doing?
Imagine entire movies that are experienced in 3D space. Not just 3D popping out of a screen, but sitting right in front of the characters like you're sharing the space like a play.
There are short VR movies on CZcams, and it does not look good. Does not look like a movie. There might be tricks that could be done to make movies work well in VR.
I feel like a first person viewed movie, where you are one of the characters could be cool. Action and horror seem like prime examples
Lol so we'd have gone all the way back to theater
Imagine games that do this in VR, which this device is not 😱
Already exist as a game on SteamVR.
Yes, this is insanely expensive.
But also insanely spec-ed.
It is nice to see something like this come out and imagine one day the price actually come down.
I cant afford it now, but I am exciting to see it come out.
Thats the issue. Similar 8k devices from other manufacturers were rejected as too expensive even at 1500-2000$. Suddenly this is ground breaking. One thing Apple is really good at is media management.
@@amit4BiharI mean, you're forgetting about the reputation that Apple has. When a small company launches a similar device without a competitive price it will just die.
@@amit4Bihar Many elements such as comfort, aesthetic, integrated OS, passthrough experience, and promise for future development and price decrease make this device more noteworthy. The real excitement isn't for this Pro version, but the one they'll release in a few years for $1800 that will still be a better experience than the ones you're referencing.
@@amit4Bihar I only know one 8k VR headset, which is Pimax. The difference between Pimax and Apple is Pimax need a beefy computer to run with, and Vision Pro is a standalone computer.
I am not sure if Pimax is actually rejected but obviously Pimax can't do AR well with cable connected to computer.
That guy says the hand gesture is extremely smooth makes me eager to try too. I have Meta Quest 1 and the hand gesture is not so good.
Many people actually complaining the price and being sarcastic towards Apple. But I think this is a device that you cant find one out there.
In short, I think it has its value and doesnt deserved the hate.
yes, it is well specced. but unless they announce things to DO with it that doesnt involve strictly viewing alternatives, its worthless.
Great description of your experience! What was it like with your prescription lens with the headset?
I want to know about how it interfaces with OTHER headset wearers that may be in the same room. There was a whole lot of people sitting alone on a couch using it...what if someone else wants to watch the game with me? Can they see an identical layout so we can have a shared experience?
Apps get an early approach at it so I wouldn’t be surprised if they make it work like that which is genius
I mean content sharing already exists in the apple echo system, should be something similar.
I know they mentioned that you could share watching the same video through Apple TV in the intro video. So maybe its app specific but it is possible. I would think this could be a fun aspect in gaming too.
SharePlay already exists, I can't imagine they wouldn't expand it into this OS.
You already can have shared experience by tapping your iPhone. So I guess there is or there will be that feature soon.
Was definitely there in the 2014/2015 when motion graphics teams were making 2D reels for headset capabilities that never delivered. Everything was overhyped backed then but laid the ground work for today's announcement. 4K per eye is unbelievable. VR/AR 2.0. Much love to all the headsets that got us here and hopefully will be inspired to keep breaking ground. rising tide lifts all boats. Good day for ar/vr
Please stop calling this thing VR
They're releasing it at a time where superfluous tech purchases are at a low not seen since 2009. Worst economy in history and they think they're going to sell 2500 dollar headsets. Microsoft and their Hololens would like a meeting
It’s XR. Mixed Reality! Thanks Microsoft!
@@VanquishedAgain that’s $3500, not 2500.
@@ConservativeJuggaloPodcast it is a VR headset with AR capabilities. Its not glasses. You look into a screen that shows stereoscopic images from the cameras in front. Its not like the hololens which you see through.
They aren't saying so now, but one day a headset like this will allow a legally blind person, like me, the ability to see as if I have 20/20 vision. I have no doubt that's possible in the next 10 years and I'm so excited about that potential future
And also deaf people to have closed captions for real life interaction
How would a headset do this versus regular glasses?
@Logan Goldstein I'm sure they already have that.
@@stefanhyltoft Most likely just by virtue of seeing through cameras and being able to zoom in. Kind of like how if you attend a giant lecture hall, or get nosebleed seats at a venue, you'll often people watch the stage through their phone zoomed in.

Thank you for this. I was amazed watching the keynote. I’m not interested at this point in hearing about all the other failed AR devices or the many ways this device fell short. I appreciate your focus on what we can actually get excited about for the future..

Would u be able to share how does it feel when u put on the vision pro while u r wearing specs ?
Such a great video! Awesome information! The way how you described everything was great! Loved the content!
Really enjoyed seeing this its not often something new comes up from apple and the user experience will be pretty epic.
I saw in the clips last night you can show your macbook on your headset. I'm wondering if you will be able to do the same with apple TV. For folks that have pretty amazing home theather setups with amazing sound systems. That will be epic. Have sound coming out of your own high end speakers with good base. Did you wear glasses throughout the demo? Wondering if that's possible, or do you have to use the adjustment lens?
How did it work with the lenses? Did you have to remove your glasses
Great video. Just curious, when you tried the headset on were you able to see pixels on the display or was it perfectly clear.
Cnet it has never answered a question in the comment section.
Great review! Thank you for sharing. I am wondering about wearing glasses with this on. I see you wear glasses and wondered if you could have them on under the Vision Pro?
I also like for control that it works with bluetooth mice and keyboards. so hand gesture when you want and more traditional input when you need it. very cool. A good computer with virtual multiple monitors and good sound.
Hi, thanks for the review! Nobody else mentioned the hands in VR yet, that was interesting. You seem to have strong correcting glasses. Can you comment on the range of correction that the Zeiss lenses offer? Would -9 dioptren work? Did you wear the glasses or contact lenses under the headset? Thx!
I see stereo scopic cameras being a must on drones now, just to have the immersive sensation while flying. I'm pretty sure the hand gestures might even be able to fly the drone itself.

What about when you wear prescription glasses? Does the device adapt to your prescription based on eye focusing or do you put the device on with the glasses on with device over them?
first demo is already better then most things the price tag is pretty big but i think they are going for a product that will be useful to some people while they innovate on a cheaper product like an air version for later use. also making new chips can be expensive as well as new display technology
At the very least Apple will "help" lower prices gradually for Micro OLED(?) and they probably want to throw those sweet displays in their entire product range, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watchs, Pro Displays, future headsets, TVs(?), Apple Car(?), honestly who knows what else they even want to try to sell next...
Apple car. If you get into an accident you need to buy a new one because it's "unfixable"

How was the weight on your head? Did it seem comfortable, how'd it compare to other headsets?
I am assuming that you wore the device without your prescription glasses. How was the device able to adjust the visual acuity for you, without your glasses, during the short time you got to try it on?
This is promising.. The first few people who got to try it are all saying it's the best take on mixed reality headset yet.
That’s how they get products to sell. It’s literally useless though.
@@sasuke082594 It clearly shows you lack vision and understanding my friend. This product will not be available until next year, the reason for that is to give 3rd party companies time to develop their apps specifically for this.
Imagine if the people who invented computers listen to you and stopped because "you can't do anything with this".
What about the glass inserts? Would they have them in the store pre graduated lenses or you have to wait for them to make them for you?
They said they worked with zeiss on that so they might have a few generic lens sizes but I have a feeling that for a perfect lens, people would need to provide actual data from their opticians
ummmmm....AppleCare
How light was it? Can you compare the weight to any other VR headset? How big is the field of view? Do you get binocular vision? Is there an issue with looking at things up close? Like if you bring your watch up close in passthrough - does it get blurry?
Love it!!! I am not an apple person does this thing work independently with its own software or will I be needing a Mac or something?
Just imagine playing Microsoft flight simulator with this new headset
I'm guessing there won't be any support for games like MSFS on this headset since it's not made for gaming, I don't think they even mentioned a single game in the presentation.. I'd be more interested in the product if they did though
@@skrutten_ That's my biggest concern for this product. I feel like the thing that people most desire advanced VR for is gaming, and that's their best chance of actually selling units at that high price point... but if it doesn't support gaming or game devs aren't producing games for it then it's going to have a much tougher time selling.
@Dev Guy Just imagine being boring AF…
@@skrutten_ They did mention gaming. They showed a woman playing some basketball game, and they said there'd be 100 games ready to play when the headset is available. Nobody in their right mind would make a VR/AR headset that doesn't support gaming. They'd be cutting out 90% of the people who'd want one.
Other headsets currently on the market already do.
This is absolutely massive. It’s ridiculously expensive, because it’s groundbreaking. It’s experimental, not yet intended for the masses but rather for the enthusiasts, to gather more data and feedback. In 5 or 10 years when Mixed Reality headsets like this becomes widespread, Apple will be remembered as the one who truly mainstreamed it.
This technology is unlike any other we’ve seen. We’ve seen others TRY this, but never did one pull it off like this. I can’t wait to see more content on this headset. I think « the future » finally is here.

World tech will only get better and better
how about the battery pack for it, and does it need an iOS device to tether?
Thanks for the review !
Just wondering what the field of view is like, I notice with other AR/VR headsets it cuts off before your normal vision ends so it feels like you are looking through a window rather than real life
Good question
Was there a floating AR keyboard for typing? That was my #1 question leading into this technology, but the keynote today did not really address it.
There is a virtual keyboard in the video from the keynote
There is also the ability to connect Bluetooth accessories like physical keyboards

HoloLens 2 is almost 5 years…..
Nice 👍🏽, did it feel like it was pressing on your face like the Quest 2? any concern about heat or that the lenses might fog up ?
I'm curious how the Apple VP handles sweat from prolonged use. This triggered memories of wearing sweaty safety goggles in my chemistry classes.
im pretty sure they tested the crap out of this. apple has been known for creating new technology just to solve problems i wouldn't be surprised if they found a way for it to not be so sweaty or for it to have oder killing properties apple isn't new to the wearables sector

Have you use ziess lenses or is it possible to use this vision pro without glasses? Is this the one which give eye strain after using for long period of time?
How about the comfort and the weight, can you have it on for a 2 hours movie and not get tired or dizzy?
As a fan of VR the two things that caught my eye with this headset first is the ability to look at your computer monitor and then the screen automatically pops up in the Apple Vision Pro(basicly connecting the headset to your computer without being tethered); the next option I really liked was that your avatar is actually your real face (not a cartoon) with facial tracking which would really make the experience of talking & hanging out with someone that's half way around the world in VR/AR feel that much more authentic and personal. I am curious if Apple will have their own version of the Metaverse; it would be cool with the realistic Avatars and hopefully more realistic worlds(not just polygons) but I am not sure how many people will jump at a $3500 price tag. How would you say this experience compares to the Meta Quest Pro? is it dramatically better?
Tethering the headset to the macbook immediately raised my eyebrows! In order for that to work without massively downgrading image quality they would have to REALLY cut down on latency in a way I don't think is currently possible in a commercial project. I think the closest thing to that would be steamlink streaming a game from one computer to another on your network, which involves far less compute and uses lower resolution; but even that has noticeable latency.
@@guitar2935 Lag free remote desktop has been a thing for decades , even the Quest 2 has had this ability for years
@@mission3479 Virtual desktop definitely isn't lag free without throttling bitrate unless you're using the link cable, and this headset's resolution is almost 10x in comparison. Idk the refresh rate of apple vision but if it's 120hz than streaming perfect fidelity would literally be pushing the specs of WiFi6
I Hope for NO metaverse, let other companies do that while Apple focuses on making this the laptop replacement.
It was the opposite for me. Knowing how good the screen sharing (and extension) of the Mac-iPad link is, my concern is only in how high quality will really the whole picture be. I don't see a problem with Mac exactly.
This Apple Vision Pro AR/VR headset seems like a game-changer! The display quality and the sharpness of the pass-through cameras are impressive. The hand and eye tracking interface, along with the ability to recognize and layer virtual items in the real world, takes the immersive experience to a whole new level. I can't wait to see what else Apple has in store for this headset. Exciting times ahead!

Metas headset does the same and came out eons ago at less than half the price point.
And yet, it’s gonna be wasted because there’s nothing to do with it. It has features useful for the metaverse after the metaverse died. The only remaining target consumer is gamers, and it doesn’t game.
While I'm not going to be among the early adopters of the vision peo, this is the first time I've been excited to get my hands on a Apple product since the first iPod touch.
How were you able to demo this with your glasses, since you’re not wearing contacts? I thought you need a diopter insert for this, they had that ready too?

Is it as good as or better than the varjo xr3 with 70 ppd in the middle of its display?
Appears that the Vision Pro is portable / doesn't have to be connected to another Mac device [or PC]. If a battery is involved, curious of its range. 🍏 hit a grand slam w/ the 🥽Pro though!! 👏
2 hour battery. Its its own complete computer.
I’ll repeat my comment from another posting… My mind is blown, it feels like the iPhone reveal all over again (I was there when Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone). Also, I can see where Apple wants to go with this. I’m excited!
If the price bothers you then think of it this way; you are buying the most amazing monitor with a MacBook built into it. Forget about buying the XDR monitor or any other $3500 monitor, just buy this headset. That’s what I’m going to do. This is my next “monitor”!
The battery life definitely needs improvement. Give it a couple years and there should be an improvement in the technology to make it sensible to buy. The price regardless is ludicrous.
How do you keep the Vision Pro clean, especially the parts that come in direct contact with your face and hair?
How did it handle your glasses? Or would it focus without them?
Love it
What was the FOV range (compared to Quest, if you're not sure)? Was there a headphones jack? How does the 3D video compare to the 3D movies in Bigscreen (currently viewable on Quest)? Was the cord to the battery cumbersome, or even noticeable? Thanks for your great and descriptive impressions and for your time!
Why would you compare an AR headset to a VR headset? Interesting question though
Considering Apple is all in on wireless headphones, I’m going to bet a strong NO on headphone jack. Would love to hear more about FOV though…

VR from the 90s was snuffed out by poor product design and the popularity rising in home game consoles and computers. Later on the founder of oculus was determined to make appealing VR, so he gathered up old headsets, information on them, and designed a viable working prototype. Later on Facebook would acquire Oculus and they continued the advancements.
@Smitty Vanjagermanjenson I had a rift. Very hard to use for a long time with the screen door effect. But it was still a fun novelty. But not something you would have the urge to use all the time. How does it do with tracking virtual objects in 3D space? Their renderings are slick, but usually in a VR headset they aren’t so smooth (poor grasp of dimensionalty causing subtle shakes and rotations of the objects in the space)
Any idea on the spatial accuracy of objects in the view? To what level of accuracy can I determine the location of an object (with reference to a baseline) in 3D space for industrial applications?
Bro you gotta mention the FOV haha. Thanks for the report!
The fact that literally no one is mentioning FOV makes me think it might be mid range fov, similar if not slightly higher than meta quest. A ground breaking FOV would’ve been mentioned for sure. Anyway, pure speculation.
@@MirAviation It's 120 degree (at the median distance created by stock face foam) by all accounts, which puts it 10 degrees higher than an Index or QPro...with the caveat being that both of those headsets have adjustable face distance wheels, which will widen the FOV as it gets closer to your eyes. This appears fixed, and only adjustable by swapping to a different face gasket

Just one question: does the resolution exactly look like in the commercial clip
I used to be one of those people who had to have the newest thing as soon as it came out, but with the cost of living as it is and the price of this product, I’m deffo gonna wait for the 2nd or 3rd version. But it does look like Apple have done this right! Hopefully this bring AR/VR into the mainstream.
So, if you and your wife had this headset, you could watch the same movie at the same time together? Or is it an individual experience in that regard?
I think it’s possible, but it would be very sad to see a couple strapped into these goggles. That Demolition man movie was right about the future.
If it's anything like BigScreen you could share what you're watching and have others join you.
You can have the quest and use bigscreen to do the thing you want
Perhaps you've heard of a television?
@@Thezuule1 I sure have! I've heard of 100 foot televisions! Unfortunately, I do not have one.
I think the price is exactly correct. What was really required in VR was a very extremely high resolution VR headset made with high quality components which is between $6000-$10000 AUD. But as good as what would be used by NASA or Boeing in a flight simulator or in the highest end of film or scientific labs for razor sharp virtual reality 3d vision. This will be used by prospective property buyers, car dealerships, engineers, 3d artists, film makers, architects, universities etc. It can just go in the VR demo area where a giant TV would have gone and it will be super useful viewing tool. Also it will eventually be a few hundred dollars.
How did you get on wearing it with glasses, or did you have to take them off?
So what happens if you wear glasses? Can you fit those underneath it? Or do you take off your glasses and use it, and it somehow compensates?
Apple allows you to add custom made prescription lenses to it.
What did the FOV feel like, compared to the other VR Headsets you have tried? If anyone knows, pls comment :)
Great video. Thank you for sharing!
I see that you’re wearing glasses, did you need to remove them? Also, how would this work with almost blind people on one eye, and completely blind on the other? Could this be used as a device that would just help in every day life?
Was it comfortable to wear? Like was it heavy, did the straps hurt your head / ears?
Do you think you would wear this for hours and feel comfortable?
$34.99 for a vr headphones is super cheap. Especially for an apple product.
