From someone who’s played the game a bit more than you, I think you’d like to know you can craft rope with 7 cloth. You can also carry 2 logs to once and you can burn cannibal bodies for bones to make bone armour and arrows and other stuff.

This game is definitely worth a full playthrough, especially before Sons of the Forest. You barely scratched the surface of survival, also you can make rope with cloth!
