  • Richard from Dailey's Walk-Behind Tractors cultivating with a Grillo G107D tractor and 27" tiller. This tractor has the Honda GX340 engine (11HP) and 5" x 10" x 20" tires. Has differential, steering brakes and 3 working speeds. In the video I made 1 pass in 1st gear at about full throttle and 1 pass in 2nd gear at about half throttle. The Grillo tiller is easy to adjust till width from 16" to 30". Any questions, feel free to call or email. Thanks for watching!

You did a video of the 30 inch tiller with outer tillers to build beds.
I like to see more videos and info on this type of tiller

Hi John. Not sure I follow you fully...Are you wanting to see video of the rotary plow building a raised bed or of the 30" tiller with augers on either end that "form" a bed while tilling? If its the latter we are not the manufacturer of that tool.

Dailey's Farm & Walk-behind Tractors yes that was it.
Why isn't anybody promoting this tiller.

I can only answer for myself. We don't manufacture it. The manufacturer needs to promote it and then other users. Not sure if it is on the market yet. For me personally, I rarely ever till. So it does not really "do much for me". Meaning I am not its target crowd. Still the idea is "cool". For my small scale growing I use rotary plows, and power harrows. Although I think this tool looks neat, I have serious questions about how well it would work in a heavy soil. Not to mention the over pulverizing of the soil that will occur when making multiple passes to shape a bed. These days there are many small scale growers who intentionally AVOID the tiller for this exact reason. I think the rotary plow and even more so, the "bed shaper" tools are much kinder to the soil, when it comes to making a raised bed with a power tool. Of course if there ends up being demand for "tiller/bedshaper" in this market, I would be happy to sell it to my customers if that is what they want. We sell a good number of tillers each year, but we sell more rotary plows and power harrows then we do tillers. Thanks, Richard.

Did you use a rotary plow to create the terraces on that slope? I have never used a rotary plow but am planning to purchase one. One of my plots is on a gentle slope that I would like to terrace to cut down on erosion.

Is this machine better than a BCS machine.

Hi HealthSupercharger. thanks for comment. Well that is "debatable", but the BCS tractors are more expensive for a reason. If you are in the market give me a call or email and I can go over all the Pros and Cons of each. We sell lots of each and I have tons of experience running both. www.daileysBCSsales.com Thanks!
