      We ended up getting an 87% hatch rate. Kept half and gave half to a friend. Thank you so much 😁

    Hi, I'm trying this for the first time in a brown carton box using one of these little lights that come with a tray and usually people melt on this tray some air fresher vox, instead vox i just keep adding water for humanity. I got 18 Quiral eggs from the grocery store in the Bronx and according to the eggs package these eggs came from N. Bergen NJ, I did try to call the farm but numbers they provide on a package was no good, anyway today is day 14 and I did look with light inside but all I can see is some eggs got bigger yolks.
    I like advice please
    Ty

    So at 10 days when they go into the other brooder... What size screen did you use for the floor?

    Hello, very newbie here with a question.
    I best have the incubator running 24h before the eggs get delivered.
    But... after delivering- I also should leave them rest 24h.
    So should the incubator be on for 48h?
    Or when the eggs arrive- while the eggs are resting?
    Thanks for thinking along!

    • @lindanelson8969
      @lindanelson8969 Před rokem +1

      Yes. It gives you enough time to play around with it and get it to stabilize before you risk your precious little eggs 🪺

      @@lindanelson8969 thank you. My incubator is not that good in keeping humidity stable. Or maybe I did not figure that out yet. I squirt every 4hrs a bit of water in there.
      My very first time! Hopefully in 13-14 days I'll see the results. Thank you for your answer!

    I am new to quail incubating and will be starting in a couple of days. My indoor humidity ranges 52 to 56. Would you recommend wet or dry incubating?

    What can I feed quail? My local feed dealer does not carry quail or game bird feed. The closest place to buy it is over 100 miles away. Can I grow feed for them? My quail will arrive next month and I'm starting to panic. I have everything on your list except the feed supply.
