    About Jackson Speed Round:
    Jackson puts your favorite artists in the hot seat for a Speed Round. Catch this series as tough questions are thrown at Jackson artists - who know what will come out of their mouth....
    About Jackson:
    Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

    He keeps playing his cards right, he can become the next guitar god. His skills are amazing.

      Dude damn near is there, if the rest of the world would just give him the attention he deserves, he could show people what level he's at. Guy's already a guitar god if you ask me.

      @@Jeffmetal42 he's also a guitar god for me, but I think the "complexity" of his sound might throw a lot of people off. I doesn't mean you have to have a degree to enjoy his music or something, but you have to be liked by a lot of people to be considered a guitar hero. Hope this "new age" of creative bands pushes him to the top tho.

      Let me break it down to you brother, he's already a guitar God. Make no mistake about it.

      @@Misanthrope84 I think all the people on this video agree with you xd I think the original comment was more about David becoming a guitar hero than a guitar god, because he already has the theory and technique

      He is not only ALREADY a guitar god, but he's a genuinely nice and humble person. I've seen Revocation twice and the whole band is just unreal.

    I was surprised that his biggest metal guitarist influence is Dimebag and not Chuck. No disrespect to king Dimebag of course, may he rest in peace, but Dave's playing has always resonated (to my ears) more with Chuck's.

      ptobably heard Pantera a bit before he heard Death. Kinda how that musical evolution usually goes. I get it, I still worship James Hetfield even though I haven't cared for Metallica for a loooooooong time. No denying that Het is why I picked up a guitar in the first place though, why he is my number 1 pick, although there are obviously way better players/bands out there, I keep my early memories of Metallica super close to my heart, I wouldn't be who I am today without that band.

    Killed me with the clown spiders/spider clowns answer. Dude must have seen "It" and messed him up. Funny thought, that same movie made me afraid to take a shower or poop without the door slightly cracked as a kid cause I thought Pennywise would get me from the drain. Lasted a good couple weeks before I was right again.

    So serious at the beginning...Dave took this one on the chin and has perfect taste. Dave got Weird Al? Hell yeah!

    Even if Dave it’s not well known by many metal fans, or even the industry himself, he IS a fucking machine. He’s just in the top of the game right now, players like Skolnick, or Friedman have played with him. Dave you are the men, the GOAT.

    Holy shit, Dave's playing has always reminded me of Dimebag. It's amazing to hear him say that Dime's his biggest metal guitar influence! Dismantle the Dictator was the first song I had heard by Revocation and the tastiness of that solo screamed Dime to me! You're a monster and one of my favorites Dave!

    • @AirGuitar
      @AirGuitar Před 2 lety

      Yeah I love both of their playing (Dime being my favorite guitarist of all time) and I didn't even know he was influenced by Dime. Now that I do know though, it makes sense. I guess I naturally gravitate towards that type of groove riffs mixed with soulful solos in metal.
