Absolutely wonderful video. You were so lucky with the weather to get those views of London. Beautiful winter day. I did go there a few times when I was a child. My brother met Patrick Moore the famous astronomer, but not there. So much to see there. That is what makes London so beautiful because it has so much history to see everywhere.

Very lucky! Delighted to bring this to you as you've been here! That must have been incredible for your brother, as Patrick Moore seemed to make everything he talked about so interesting!

What a brilliant way to start the year (and Happy New Year by the way!). Greenwich has to be my favourite part of London and, the Old Royal Observatory my favourite part of Greenwich. I’ve been countless times (and could seriously bore you rigid with various facts and figures) but never made it into the camera obscure, so thanks for showing that. I guess I’ll have to pay another visit….

Hi Peter, Happy New Year to you and so pleased that this was on here for you. I was so lucky the day I went to get a great view with the obsucra and across Greenwich. Greenwich is such a fantastic place. I think there's an obsucra near you in Bristol? As you can also tell some of the areas were closed so couldn't go to all the buildings. Must admit I like the look of their winter evening star gazing events!

This was absolutely brilliant! How did I miss this in your library? There are so many I have yet to see in your history of videos. Royal Observatory Greenwich - would love to see. so innovative and creative so long ago with astronomy and clockworks. Impressive. I enjoyed seeing all the different types of telescopes and observatories where they were employed. Thank you for the narrative of the great history. Amazing I was very impressed with the reflection in the dark room and how it was developed. State of the art for that time. And the covered underground observatory - over 100 feet underground!! Yikes!

The image isn't coming out of the camera in a camera obscura. You literally are inside the camera in that instance.

Don't pay to go in and visit.
You can stand on the 0' line for free !
In front of the site is the alley way with the Zero line on the wall. This is the original line and costs nothing to visit...

I have long believed that the Royal Observatory would be a good location to take a photo to be used as a cover photo for a hypothetical future Rammstein album.
