Flying Battery Zone is probably my favorite Sonic Zone in the entire franchise. The music is awesome, and I loved the level design... Flying Battery Zone is freakin awesome!

Sega was really good with the arcade-electronic sounds, which were really good for the types of games released. But, the SNES emulated music more effectively with what it had than any console ever released before or since.

Well It's easier to just say '3DS Version' as it takes less time. Sonic Boom would of also been a better game as something that Is not sonic. as the gameplay ideas are pretty much the OPPOSITE of your average Sonic game.
Absolutely love this. Half of the atmosphere in this game is made by outstanding music. Flying battery (especially act II) just has this feeling.. which I'd call mechanical wistfulness

I just think of one on my own design... solar panels for extended flight, extra fuel for the thrusters for quick manuevers and getting off the ground. 3 cargo bays (tanks, gyro bikes [my own design] and helicopters) along with a area for foot soldiers. Three main cannons on the front, mortars down the middle, and omni directional dual minigun turrets protecting the wings. ALL SHALL BOW DOWN BEFORE THE MIGHT OF THE AIRSHIP SILVER HAWK.
I’ve had this stuck in my head all week for some reason, haven’t played this game in years unfortunately and it just got stuck in my head out the blue, had to come and listen to it, love it as much as I did when I was a kid.
It was damn well amazing back then and it's still amazing now. Sure it's nostalgia but is it really nostalgia if we've felt the same way all along? I don't expect my love for these classics will ever die. Not to deny the quality of the good games that are released these days, but I played the good games in -those- days all through my childhood. That song was a banger so was sonic 3, i never knew i was missing out till i got sonic origins and played that stage, i wish they ported it to Mobile like how they did with sonic 1,2, and CD. But its probably due to the original being separated into two games
