If someone says, "There is a god," and I say, "Prove it," it is not logical to say, "No, you prove to me why god does not exist."

Very few atheists say "there are no gods". Most atheists usually say something like "the evidence you've provided for your specific god is too weak to be convincing".
If I were to say "there are no gods" that's an embellishment, a hyperbole.

I don't know but its easier to say there is no god but you are right about how to go about it😂

Skeptisim is the default position of honest research. In this case, religious assertions of a deity aren't qualitative and thus rejected. The fervency of the religious to employ fallacious logical argument and false debate only shows that they are aware of the lack of quality in their own assertions.

When 2 events (Whether God exist or not exist) are mutually exhaustive and exclusive then proof of one automatically disproves the other. BUT lack of proof of one does not automatically prove the other. I think Samarth was a little confused on that part?

When you say there's no god, you are implying that you know about every possible place for a god to exist and searched it and didn't find a god. It's a claim even more extraordinary than existence of god.

@@SatyamSingh-xe9gt guess what? We never said that, we only reject the claim of any God existing on the basis of lack of evidence.
Suppose I go to the police and say Satyam Singh is a murderer. The police ask me for evidence and I say back to them "Have you reopened each and every murder file ever and made sure that Satyam Singh is not a murder?"
Answer me honestly, what should the police do with me? Should they accept my argument and arrest you or should they kick me out?

@@RR_theproahole I didn't guess, the other person said exactly that I understand the agnostic atheist position and the other person is saying that you can say that Satyam is not a murder and it's not a claim.

there is no evidence of any gods. As soon as you provide some, I'll consider it.

Actually, there is no "good" evidence for the existence of any gods. There is however a ton of bad evidence and a ton of bad evidence equals zero good evidence.

    • @velkyn1

@@SalemK-ty4ti "bad evidence" is nothing more than baseless claims. Christians are some of the worst advocates for their god since they can't agree on the most basic nonsense they claim as "truth".

@@vimohliveThe statement "God does not exist" is essentially a rejection of the claim that God exists because there hasn't been proof provided to support that claim. It's like a situation where a boy in a classroom claims to have seen a dragon. In such a scenario, everyone would ask for proof, and if the boy fails to provide evidence, it would be logical to conclude that the 'dragon does not exist' due to the lack of evidence provided?
