10:07 that truck has no head lamp... I can imagine the stress riding in those traffic. When u hit Malaysia and Singapore it will also be similar. The roads are narrower and in Singapore it's illegal for bicycle to go on the highway.
It will be interesting to get around in Singapore.
Stay safe out there! Thailand does have some pretty high traffic accident rates. Great adventure though!
Talk about over engineering 07:53 they extended the deck of that truck with 3 pieces of inverted railway line.
triangle shaped neon light that flicking shoud be equipped on your back to lessen the risk hit by coincidental occasions. in long distance cause you to be unseen by cars speeding up. all the street on this film looks the even with no curve that is easy to speed up.
I'll take Hanoi rush hour over that any day.

You have a positive attitude for someone swallowing all those toxic exhaust fumes. Bangkok not a great city for cyclists.
The same height as your car intake for your AC. Tests sometime ago in the UK showed that cyclists were better off in traffic than drivers as cyclists are breathing harder and expelling more nasties than a driver sitting doing nothing behind the wheel. Sitting in traffic in your huge car is worse for your health than peddling a bike and, of course, adds to the traffic and pollution for everyone else. Cycling is a human sized activity that makes perfect sense in town where sitting in a ton of steel box because you are worried about pollution makes no sense really.
I love (facetiously) these comment threads. Before you know it people are going to tell you to literally stop breathing because you might take in toxic fumes/air. Or stop blinking your eyelids because it might impede your vision.
Yep. People who’ve never cycled in traffic but sit in their tin boxes breathing in the same toxic air. People don’t realise that a car driver gets his air from the same height as Matt’s trike. The pollutants dissipate quickly and being outside exercising is far better for you than sitting in your box in the traffic.

Love your videos but I haven't followed discussions much. I don't wear a helmet. How is it that you haven't succumbed to helmet shaming here? It's really strong in some cyclists. Have you discussed it in other videos?
Yea. You’re right. I don’t get much. Form time to time I get some people chastising me. But I have largely avoided it. I just tell it like it is. I don’t wear one because they are not enforced and I don’t find them comfortable. I acknowledge it’s a stupid choice but mine to make under the circumstances.
