As I've started the new year getting an year older (yeap, my birthday is on the 3rd of January) I've decided to dedicate the 1st 2014 video tutorial to an anti-age beauty tip launching also a serie of short episodes on the vital vegetable oils that may beautify us inside & out.
The evening primrose oil is one of my favorite oils for face care as it is delicate and the ultimate anti-wrinkle oil. It is also known for its soothing, softening and revitalizing properties which prevent skin aging.
This oil is best known for its beneficial effects on the female hormonal system ( painful menstruation, menopausal disorders, ecc) as well as skin disorders as acne, eczema and dermatitis as it is one of the few vegetable oils rich in linoleic and gamma linolenic acid. These essential fatty acids (omega 6), rebuilders of cell membranes, restore the elasticity of the skin.
In my video tutorial I formulated an anti-age eye contour serum which will mitigate and prevent the appearance of wrinkles, optimizing this delicate skin's area tone and elasticity.

online stores, this one, specifically from a French store. I don't know which country you live in, but with a small research on google you may be able to find one, just search for "cosmetic ingredients online" and you may narrow your research to a store in your country :)) As for sunscreens pls take a look at this video I did last summer on sunscreens: bit.ly/1aeKxEK. Love your videos even though it is impossible to find most of the stuff you talk about where I live (Pakistan). I'm 20 years old and I have acne prone ski, especially hormonal cystic acne that I experience every month. I use tea tree oil or calamine lotion to zap my pimples but they almost always leave a reddish brown scar that takes months to fade! could you help me make something that will make the scars fade quicker?
Hi Fatima, I'm sorry to hear you can't find these ingredients in your country. Maybe Google may be of help in finding some online store in other countries next to yours shipping to your country too.. i bought the q-10 but they r gel caps, do you happen to know how many i need for 6gtt (drops)?
Do you also think it would be ok if i squeeze the oil out of all the gel caps and just put into a dark amber dropper bottle?
i could not find bisabolo but i did find aquaphor, will that do?
Chow pls always check the ingredients lists: I do take Q10 gel caps too but they're not only q10..they do contain other ingredients too, like glycerine and so on..I'd advise you to continue ingesting..in this case it helps a lot more the skin from the inside! What is the inci for aquaphor..what does it contain? I presume it is hydrosoluble (considering the name, therefore I doubt it would go with the oil..you'll get a biphasic serum, as they'd split).

I used it all over my face and neck. And it works very well as my dark circles lighten up. And I use 1:1 ratio amount of evening primrose and vitamin e soft gels for better measure (ex. 2 500mg evening primrose = 2 400mg vitamin e soft gels).
But how long is the shelf life of the serum?

oh sorry one more question, i have heard about useing L-ascorbic acid on face, neck and other body parts to help reduce wrinkles. I have bought 1 pound from lotion crafters.com and had it shipped to canada, anyway i was wondering if you are useing that as a anti ageing serum as well?

hi +Irene Chow I made a specific video on a vitamin C face toner, don't know if you watched it. The problem with vitamin C is that it oxidizes very quickly, hence difficult to use as you may end up applying oxidized cosmetics on your face...

@E bumble bee I can't reply to your comment probably for some of your settings.
You have to check the technical sheet of the Q10 and see if it is hydro or liposoluble (that would be if it dissolves in water based solutions or oil based solutions). The powder form of Q10 I've seen in Italy is liposoluble and you may dissolve it in one of the oils of the serum.
I would not advise you to add hyarunic acid as you would obtain a biphasic moisturizer (that would be the oils will separate from the hyaluronic acid). Hope this helps :)

Absolutely Ankita Das ! Just remember to always apply it on your humid face in order to ease the penetration of the oil into the skin :)
