    Thanks for showing the individual positions. This is by far the most helpful thing when deciding what I want to buy! If the features are amazing, and you hate sounds of the individual mics...

    Steinway sounds so pretty, even if to my ears in any demo I've heard I always prefer the CFX's timbre, but that's just me...

    Fantastic work. 17:30 you make that ALL IMPORTANT DISTINCTION between "playing for yourself", on one hand, and "the end result" on the other. My problem with ALL piano vsts except for, perhaps, HZP (and using Mid C mic, not the others) is that the recorded sound--the "end result"--doesn't sound at all like the kind of recorded Hamburg Steinway (D) sound I'm used to. Admittedly there are SOME solo Steinway recordings that match the sound you've exampled here (and you do it really well), but for the most part the recorded sound we're used hearing on our speakers and headphones is a kind of ambience--"hall"--that I just don't hear in the VSL Steinway.

    The Steinway Ribbon Mic is very impressive. I think I would start there and add a tiny bit more room.

      What do you mean with last? The absolutely last recording with Debussy or the Steinway in general?

    • @rosch982

    Gamma, thank you for this video! Do you use the extended close mics (ribbon, tube) in addition to the standard (condenser) one?

    Hi ! thanks for the video, I am thinking about buying the 274 library. Is there much difference between the standard and the full versioN? Thanks! Best, Carlos

    • @PianoScoreVids

      Hi Carlos, it depends. If you use it in orchestral context or arrangements in ensembles you need the full one. The difference is that you give more microphone positions, not more or less. If you only are a pianist (like me) , I can assure that the standard already has great sound, but honestly it will depend also on your personality. For example I am someone, who, if I only had standard would always think about upgrading and feeling like missing something, at some point it's not a true financial issue then... If you are happy with what you have, you wilö definitely be happy with standard too! But as I said, full gives you many more sound designing options by mixing different mics in and out, also the full stereo field can only be achieved by using all mics

      @@PianoScoreVids Thanks! That will be useful. It would be to record myself and maybe do some arrangements but nothing too serious..all the best, Carlos

    Is Bösendorfer Imperial got half pedaling feature?

    Hello which one do you prefer

    • @PianoScoreVids
      @PianoScoreVids  Před 3 lety +1

      full, of course. If you want the ultimate piano you should spend a lot of money once in my opinion. The also have sometimes demo licenses, offers and so on. So you can check out their site now that we are getting closer to november especially

    • @NguyetLe-ob5vs

      Gamma1734 I meant between Steinway and Bazzi

      @@NguyetLe-ob5vs i prefer the bösendorfer but i never had a good keyboard controller so far to really hear what they are capable of. Now i have a silent piano so hopefully it will help that i can sort my feelings more precisely. The steinway has a lot brighter attack, the bösi is more mellow and easier to control
