There was a time where the xp55 was capable of out-turning the KI43 and zeros; while also being able to out energy fight 109s. It was, and kinda still is, one of my favorite props. Especially since I got it for free years back from an event or something.

The La-200 is a monster of a jet, I have only got a few uptiers and tons of downtiers.. its a very good interceptor especially against b29s by the time they see you it's too late for them. But if they do spot and shoot at you, peel off and go toward a different target.

Seeing as how you got btfo'd by one, play the Ki 61, it's a fantastic aircraft that feells like a hybrid between the 109 and A6M series, excellent energy fighter.
In AAB, this thing is pretty great. Very good flight performance (especially at higher speeds), but most importantly, it gets very powerful armament that is actually competently-placed. Nose-mounted 20mms are lovely and they last longer than 12.7mms, which is great. It got moved to rank III which made it even better. Its only real flaw is the high price.
i have this plane back when i still play the game, you can just turn off your brain and feed on people its a monster with its flight performance and also the fire power concentrated on the nose is a huge pro

First time I fought one of these things properly was in a yak-9U, the fight lasted not even two minutes but it felt like five because of how well it was keeping up with me and forcing me to push my aircraft to its limits, I still lost anyway but that thing is so scary in a sustained fight.
Should try out the hurricane with the 2x40mm guns, that thing is amazing at 2.0 ive gotten a 7kill game a few times with it. If you have friends its even better and more fun but is possible solo but not as fun in my opinion Its great at 1 tapping distracted players or players not paying attention(for fighters, maybe bombers) Has decent ammo count for it For cons Speed is terrible Turning dont exist Armor is bad
It's the game design that let you down on the 9k. Go for the B-25 and lose the air game or go for the fighters and lose the ticket game. I wouldn't blame yourself on that

J7W is much faster especially at high alt. It also has incredibly powerful high-velocity 30mms.
You should do the LA200. It gets near exclusive down tiers and is one of the most balanced jets at its br.
The la200 is the scariest thing in 7.0 jet

Ki-61 is basically if you take Bf-109 and make it turn better. It is energy fighter that can Turn and Burn if needed.
It's slower and climbs worse though
