I love fishing at Cabrio it's a beautiful beautiful place I have been going to Cabrio even since I was a kid with my father rest in peace we enjoyed fishing together I miss my dad a lot I remember his beautiful smile every time we would go to Cabrio to fish we would CACH mackerel fish an halibut

Great footage. I fish just past the pagoda around the sink and I have been landing undersized halibut on dropshot jig and hi lo with the same white plastics you use. Good times.
High low, sabiki and fish finder rigs are good from the pier. 20 pound 30 pound line. Medium to medium light pole. Nothing fancy to get you started. Wal-Mart

I tried jigging with those swimbait things but got none at the cabrillo pier. I also tried the beach and the jetty but they all didn't work at cabrillo
Pedro local here. Been wanting to fish here. Any fishing setups that you recommend from Walmart or better yet Amazon? Also any places in Pedro that sells bait?
Mr. Chins or Mr C. Liquor store In San Pedro off pacific. On the right almost getting to the beach. Sabiki, high low and Carolina rig work well. Squid, salted sardines.
Not on piers in CA, but my buddy made the mistake of going off the pier & the po po pulled right up🙄clearly bad timing😹You can’t even go off a pier to land a fish. They ain’t playin’
Sabikis, jig head with white or pink swim baits and or high low rigs. Try salted anchovies, shrimp and squid. I've heard of some people catching nice size san bass off mussels.

I’m a local here in Pedro , and I don’t know a darn thing about fishing but I’m hoping after I buy my gear hopefully someone will show me the ropes .

The Pier is ok, but that Breakwater is where the real fish are. Huge bass, Cabezon, Sculpin and more

Sand bass, minimum size must be 14 inches. Gives them time to reproduce.
