Wily, I’m the one from upstate new York, the one who has 4 bronchial valves for my lungs. What I’m saying is I’ve watched you when I had to stay for days. You made me feel good to watch your videos. And like everyone says keep them coming. Great video too.
Thank you for sharing. I wish you the best. I am humbled by your comment and Thank you.
Love hearing the old timers telling their stories about their past ! Great video!
Their war storys
He had some good ones. Thank you for watching
Wily I would like to personally thank you, telling the story of my family’s’ trucking history. That KW has been sitting in that exact spot for all 25 years of my life. It was beautiful to see Granddad tell a few of the many many stories about the history of that truck. Growing up I use to play around in my grandparents yard or mow their yard wondering would it ever run again. To see you and your team work tirelessly on getting it to start again was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for this video again! To capture the pure emotion of my grandad hearing it run again was a beautiful tribute of the many years of my family’s deep trucking history and tradition.
Why did it sit so long?
Your welcome. I glad to be a part of it. Viewers did not get to see the family members and friends that came by and watched us attempt to start it. The old KW is an important part of your GrandDads life and i am glad he got to share it.
I wonder how many "Red Sovine" songs were played on that 8-track . Maybe "Joe Stampley's " Roll on big mama" My daddy used to drive a truck like this . Brings back fond memories of my 1970's childhood . Thanks Wiley
Teddy Bear blairing through those speakers 😮
Thank you for sharing. When i pulled up he was listening to Don Williams

Thank you for sharing. Thanks for watching
Love hearing elders tells stories.
Glad you enjoyed that. I think he enjoyed sharing them
Im 43, just that tail end of Gen X, and that handy generation just between a time of Playing outside and the computer tech savvy generation...and I say the Elder generation are a treasure trove of stories and wisdom. Many of them forgot more than we'll ever know about things. Our Generation is not worried about remembering and learning we just turn to Google. God Bless ya Mr.Wily...🇺🇲🙏🏼 thanks for taking us along, Cheers from Toledo
Thank you for sharing that. I couldn’t agree more
Ole homie's t-shirt had me messed up from the time I saw it.. Couldn't keep my eyes off it the rest of the video. 😂
Lol. It didn’t affect me until i was editing the video. Got my vertigo going Thanks for watching
Great stories. I love listening to how it was in the old days. You have a very respectful Son. You should be proud Wiley
Thank you very much for that. I am
That's a really nice old truck it fired right up and sounds good awesome job Wily and Jacob
Jacob always says 4 - 6 hrs to get to the 20 second shot we came for
lol 😂
Love seeing this history from Billy! And Jonathan's facebook jokes are the best! LOVE THIS! Great to see this old truck and old neighbors. Wonderful family.
We Enjoyed filming and being around your family. Hopefully we can get it moved to his work shed where he can tinker with it
Are we Talking about the Same Jonathan on Face Book 😂
It's so cool hearing these old engines roar back to life.
Thank you for watching and i agree
Wiley, just a Chiltons time saver here. Always check what's in the sleeper before lifting the cab, voice of experience. I have seen a few windshields have to get replaced. Coffee cups, Thermos, parts, tools, small TVs, etc.etc.
Thanks for sharing and i didn’t even think of doing that.
In the battery box is a series-parallel switch. The purpose of that switch is to send 24 volts to the starter when the key is turned to start, then revert to 12 volts when not cranking. It takes 2 12 volt batteries, one positive ground and one negative ground to make it work. It has been at least 30 year since I last replaced one, so i don't remember the proper wiring.
Thank you for sharing With the 12v starter being on it would you not think they bypass that? I never seen one before
That Kenworth is nice looking Wiley, he sure did a great job keeping out the rats. They are bad about chewing up electrical wiring, its in very nice condition. And it started up great, for sitting 25 years. That's amazing 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
My husband loves to see your videos. Watches them over and over.
Thank him for that and thank you for letting him LOL 😂
@@DontbeWily We are your videos watching now. I appreciate that this is family friendly. Our two year old grandson watches your channel with his PopPop and we don't worry about inappropriate language. Keep up the good work!
I was born in Deland Florida I like to hear stories like this man talking about
Thank you and Thanks for watching
Thank you Wiley. The life experience of these men would make such a good movie.❤❤❤.
Thanks you and thanks for watching
That is a truck almost identical to the one I lost in a wreck Christmas of 22 when I got my neck broke because a woman was to busy on her cell phone…I would dearly love to have her to fix back up to her original glory!
Now, that was some pice of work wily, ye both done well to get that truck running again after 40 years sitting ❤ 👍
Thanks 👍
I can't believe that beauty started like that just ticking over.

Thanks. I think he enjoyed sharing them
Amazing how old diesels just come right back to life. that starter was a pain to deal with. looking forward to see it drive.
Hopefully that video will be out next
Wily The starter is 24v the rest of the truck is 12v They used a series parallel switch to start the truck then back to twelve volt. They could give trouble when they got older.
we called them a BeeJesus box, boy they could really get ya mad
Thanks for sharing. I never seen one before As the day went on he told it came with 4 - 6volt batteries
They say you can't kill a CAT but them CUMMINS LIVE FOREVER!!! Great job willey, love those story from Mr Douglas...
Thank you. And i glad you enjoyed it
That damn thing runs good!!
It does
Wiley, I'm so thankful you have your own channel. I used to watch Hamiltonfarm just because of you. Without you it's just not worth watching. Even when he collaborates with other you tuber's I watch. I just can't do it. I enjoy your still showing a willingness to learn when someone tells you something. Instead of a constant uh huh, ya etc interrupting the individual trying to teach something. And I definitely don't miss that laugh 😅
Thank you for sharing and watching.
Me being a fellow truck driver of 25yrs.The k100 flat top big bunk is my fav truck that i never got to drive since COE were long gone when i started driving. It would be great to see here going down the road again.

Great job Wiley take care and God bless 👍🙏👍🙏
Thanks 👍
On the cab jack, when going up the hydraulic pressure should release the latch then start moving the cab up. As the cab goes over center you flip the lever and you can jack it up, controlling the rate of rise over center. The same thing when lowering the cab. Reverse the lever start jacking it down, then as it comes back over center reverse the lever once more and control the rate of descent. It's a little tricky at first but once you do it it makes sense. There's probably a wire in the battery box that connects the 12 volt side of the electrical system to the key switch which connects the gauges, lights, charging system and AC/heat.
Thanks for sharing.
Wiley that has got to be the best video you have ever done great job.
I thank you for that.
Very nice job and God bless y'all

Way to go Mr Wily! That gal fired up like it was just shut down yesterday!
It really did. Thanks for watching
It fired right up like it was ready to hook up to a load and start the workday. This one and the Mack U model you did two or three videos ago fired up super easily, like they are both ready to get back to work.
They sure did. I guess it should not surprise me when that happens but it does
Thanks for watching
We had one of those !! Nice semi
Thanks for sharing
Mannn, my goodness brotha keep it up😃👏👏👏
Appreciate it!!
As I recall, many of those cabover jacks had a two way valve. You flipped it one direction to raise the cab, then the other way to jack it back down.
They always put oil in mine too flip the cabover over,it leaked out
Thanks for sharing and watching

Thank you
I am glad you enjoyed it. I think he enjoyed sharing his stories with you/ us as well.
Damn it's still got the old style KW badge I think 73 was the last year for that it's a wonder it didn't have the old pull down door handles
70 was the last year for pull down door handles. Some one removed the shutters as well as the original grille. 1975 I believe KW went to a grille condenser for the A/C
@@keithmedovich6889 71 was the last of the pull down handle.
I knew I was close

Hope someone can refurbish this beautiful piece of Kenworth history! My late father had one with a Cummings KT 450.
Thank you for sharing
Oh boy, I had that same issue with my 76 double bunker, I pumped the jack and all of a sudden a big bang only to find out it had pulled the passenger side dog house apart and twisted the cab front. It took a lot of work to fix that issue and a lot of cussing lol 🤣
Lol 😂.
Not 😂 at the issue , just the tool you used to fix it
Good drive ❤❤❤
Thanks
I had a 78 K100. I know the pain in changing those starters. Lol
