- We SWORE This was a wrap until we got up close, Boy were we wrong! Paul Witty’s Ford Falcon looks like it was literally pulled from a barn and straight into his garage to have the chassis tabbed together and then brought straight to the event! It’s not the first time we’ve seen an awesome patina, but more often than note these days…it’s a wrap job that mimics true patina jobs like this. Not to mention the Big Block Ford tucked under a 1471 blower that’s towering over the hood with a menacing cowl. Truly one awesome display of time and effort that we were thrilled to witness, but lucky for us it was also here to show us what that ford power plant could do! Lining up for the Outlaw class of Coffeyville’s Street Drags in Coffeyville, KS, Paul and his DIRTY bird went head to head with some heavyweight champs!

Love to see Hot rod-Falcons! Back in '86 I built my dream '63 Falcon and people laughed at me, thought it was ugly....very glad to see people appreciating the beauty of the early Falcon style.

Ray Miller it's true it is less costly to run a GM engine than to build a Ford. When Ford guys build Ford engines people get nervous because they know they put money in it.

As an import guy, I'm more a fan of small "big-inch" strokers, destroked screamers, and turbos on just pretty much EVERYTHING, but 1800HP is nothing to scoff at.
This guy had the money, and he made it happen! RESPECT!

I had a lot of these bare bones falcons! Light cars!! . Had a supercharged 302 ran consistently in the low 10's at Bandimere in the late 80's.
The Falcon waxes the GTO if not for the fuel line failure. Weight/power ratio sky high w/ the Falcon. Much lighter than the Pontiac.

Although I grew up driving Mopars in high school & Chevys later in life, I’ve always loved the ‘60-‘63 Falcon body style. I just love this car & everything about it👍🏼👍🏼
Reminds me of wonderful times with my 63 ranchero build in the 70s.
260 ci 289 heads, screw in rocker studs, gt 390 springs keeper and retainers, dual point distributor, cam from Ford 😁, windage tray, hi volume oil pump, 360 grove main bearings for oil all the time, hooker headers, I'm sure that I missed something but it would spin up to 7500 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and never would top it out, because at 7500 in 3rd the 100mph speedometer was out of sight and I was good with that.

The falcon was big in the US during the early 60s, and the later model Australian version was sold here as the Torino, i used to have a 71.

At a repair shop in Southern Missouri I asked about a somewhat odd looking '67 Galaxie. Turned out to be a 1963 Ford from Argentina, 4 years ahead of Detroit in car design .

The original six cylinder had a Holly single barrel carburetor on it. I thought it was cool when I was driving mine as a kid, first car !

I love this little Falcon. A few 1st gens were in the family when i was a little kid in the '60s and my first car was a 170 '67. Of course nothing like the car here but still love these. Hope it was just a fuel line. Car's a monster!!

Glad to see something other than a Chevy. Too many people fixated on bow ties like that is all there is. I would rather see a roached out Falcon than a shiny, dirt common, Chevy any day, just because it is different. That little Falcon is awesome.
