Either wait for SF to release him or trade a low draft pick. 5th or 6th. But nothing higher then that.
To me it’s all about the effects on the cap space as it better to finish rebuilding before you add expensive talent which is shades of past organization JMO
A portion of the fanbase must have Snyder posters on their walls with this stupid push for Aiyuk way too early lol, and even then he only runs a 4.5 40. He'd be at best the 7th fastest WR on our team lol.
Thanks for your work on the team, David. I agree with you that I don't think we are where we want to be in our rebuild to entertain the idea of trading for Aiyuk. However, stud WRs become available every year. Tee Higgins signed a one-year deal, Stefan Diggs is on his third team, and we've no clue what the CD Lamb situation will bring. We can most likely get a stud receiver in the 2024 offseason to pair with Terry (should Jahan have another poor season) and give up exactly zero in draft capital.

Adding one big time free agent in the beginning stages of a re calibration is not a good look. Right now... these guys are in "summer camp". Everybody has been there for two weeks. Now, some rich kid had his dad get him into camp and he expects us to just accept him into our cabin like he went through all the first 3 days of hazing with us. Like he was late for lunch because nobody could win the tug of war.... if it happens organically... cool. But giving SF anything more than a 4th round pick will be a Capitol L..(get it?)

Hope that the 49ers release him. It’s not worth the sky high contract and the trade value the 49ers would want. We failed to draft o-line, outside corner or edge in the draft. We could have drafted Patrick Paul instead of Sinnott for example.

At first glance I didn't think trading for Aiyuk was a good move because of the 30 mil salary & paying Terry a lotta money in WRs. After further thought Washington WR room only have 1 legit known Wr and that's Terry after him everybody else is a huge question mark, right now WRs are bottom half of the NFL. By adding another legit WR would boost them into the top half of league, not to mention to natural bond & chemistry with Jayden Daniels. Aiyuk brings some of the best route running & blocking in the NFL. Team have plenty of cap space to get it done around 30 mil per sign him to 3-5 yr deal with last year team can cut him without heavy penalty. By the time Jayden Daniels come up for extension Aiyuk's money would be off the books.... Definitely make this deal if you don't have to give up any premium draft picks

I feel ya. I couldnt turn it down either. But that's just the WR market. He's an elite WR. And he wants to get paid like one. He's not gonna be getting much less than Jefferson. He may get more.
@@wonderfulfaison "Elite" lol he runs a 4.5 40 and he's only 6'0. That's not fast enough to be elite, Shanahan is elite, he's not going to have that type of production elsewhere. Deebo doing all the dirty work and CMC getting him open. He's wide open cause of the system.
