  • Sorry for the audio, not using an external mic was a bad choice.

I'm 53 and getting back into trail riding. I weight just over 200 pounds. Would you recommend the 200 or 300. Been riding 350's and 450's.

Everyone that rode the 200 that day loved it, personally if I wasn’t going to get the 200 I would get the 250. But they were all great bikes, the only 2 stroke I don’t like is the xtrainer. But it’s personal preference because I know a ton of people love those too.

Would you recommend this for a 170 lb B Hare Scramble rider/racer?

I would, that’s the same weight I am, I’m not quite a B class rider but a faster C rider and it’s my favorite beta by far. The suspension is good out of the box and after setting it correctly for your speed/weight won’t be a problem.

@PGPowersports dji action 3, the action 4 is out now and I’ve heard good things but I only have experience with the 3. I’m pretty sure they still sell the 3 too.

Is the suspension harsh on stutter bumps and chop?

The Race Edition bikes have stiffer suspension because they're designed for faster riding. However if you set it up properly for your skill and ability you'll be fine.
If you are just a casual trail rider then get a regular RR version and you'll be stupid happy to ride it a lot!!

@@bbarker5766 I haven’t had a bike in a couple years. I tore both rotator cuffs and my right labrum riding my Bmx. I ride in New England woods, race NETRA Hare scrambles a few times a year. Mostly ride with my brother who is a fast B rider, I can hang with him most of the time. When we ride it’s pretty much race pace for a couple hours with some exploring and enjoy a good ol trail ride. It always ends up being my brother and I bar banging though😅 Have had Ktm 200’’s,250’s and a 300, always end up back on a 200. And this Beta is right up my alley with the carb and pre mix along with the button. Can’t wait should be a great bike.👍🏻

@DuhYaThink sweet! Man, there are a lot of good guys in NETRA and that neck of the woods. The regular RR suspension is a bit softer and can still be competitive in racing.
It seems that anytime my forks felt harsh or chattery in sections with a lot of small bumps, roots, etc, that my spring rates were too soft and I was blowing through the first part of the travel and getting down to the stiffer range of them. Simple spring change and sometimes different oil viscosity then redialed them in did the trick. 👍🏼
